Ferrari moves to new design for 2024

Ferrari started the new rules period with a different concept from other teams and has largely preserved this concept this year. However, the direction Red Bull chose turned out to be more advantageous overall, so it seemed logical that the Italian team would also head towards it at some point.

After long evaluations, Ferrari decided to switch to a different design for 2024, but it is unclear for now whether this direction will be similar to Red Bull.

Speaking on the subject, Ferrari boss Vasseur said: "We will still have some updates for the SF-23 this year, which we will use as the season progresses."

“But the design of the 2024 car will be different. Each zamAlthough we are moving things from one vehicle to the next, the design is actually completely different.”

“This year's Red Bull car was stronger than us in every area. Drivers make the most of all factors such as engine, chassis, aerodynamics, suspension, strategy. However, it would not be correct to say that they are much better than us in any field.”

“What we need to do is try to make the most of what we have and make progress in all areas.”

Asked if they could expect major design news as they said they would have a completely different vehicle project in 2024, Vasseur said: "The question implied whether any team would use the gearbox or chassis next year, but we won't."

"I wanted to say; There is not a single area that we need to develop, we need to improve in every sense. We're talking decimals here, not seconds. We've shown several times that we can fight Red Bull at least in qualifying, so the car has potential."

“We are still behind in terms of performance in the race and we need to improve that aspect. But I'm not sure it's because of the car concept." gave the answer.

The design of Ferrari's 2024 vehicle is a matter of great curiosity. The team started the new rules era with a different concept, outperforming other teams, but was left behind after Red Bull developed the concept. Ferrari wants to return to the championship fight by deciding to switch to a new design in 2024.
