Hyundai introduced the KONA model, which brings a completely different perspective to the B-SUV segment with its design and technologies, for sale in Turkey as well. The model, which is wider, more technological and more dynamic than the previous generation, includes 3 different engine types under a single body. Offering different usage features and visuals in each, the New KONA also highlights the N Line version for consumers who want more sporty driving and dynamism. KONA N Line reinforces its exterior appearance, supported by dynamic and aggressive lines, with a 198 horsepower turbocharged engine. Prepared to launch the fully electric KONA model for the mobility of the future, as well as internal combustion gasoline engines, in the last quarter of the year, Hyundai includes the latest technologies, high-level comfort and practical use features in all options.

Stylish design elements

Attracting the attention of consumers in the B-SUV segment, which has become a rapidly rising trend all over the world, with different design elements and high-level driving dynamics, Hyundai offers a smooth appearance in the front and rear of the New KONA. The line-shaped lighting clusters at the front and rear create a unique silhouette, starting from the shark-like nose to the gently sloping tailgate. The new KONA also differentiates itself with pixel lamps in its EV variant and stands out as the first Hyundai model to apply this iconic design beauty.

The sporty character of the B-SUV model, on the other hand, is made more dynamic with the fender attachments with integrated front and rear lights. The wedge-shaped side panels are also embodied by the characteristic chrome strip extending from the roof line to the rear spoiler. The specially designed multi-spoke 18-inch wheel design is a first for all versions of KONA.

In addition to the internal combustion gasoline engines and the hybrid version, the fully electric KONA also carries many design features forward with a different touch. KONA Electric is distinguished by a three-dimensional ornament instead of the radiator grille on the front bumper. Gasoline and hybrid options use black fender trim for added emphasis.

The KONA Hybrid uses upper and lower active airfoils (AAF), while petrol engines are equipped with only upper airfoils for a lower drag coefficient. These active air blades improve the car's aerodynamic performance while at the same zamcurrently giving petrol and hybrid versions an EV-like appearance.

The performance-inspired N Line version uses a wing-shaped bumper, double mufflers and silver-coloured side skirts to accentuate its sporty look. Offering stunning design, advanced technology and exceptional comfort all at once, Hyundai KONA provides a larger and more versatile interior for greater passenger comfort and storage. It also offers best-in-class values ​​with a 60mm longer wheelbase, 77mm longer legroom and 11mm higher headroom on the second row seats compared to the previous generation. The shoulder distance in the second row, which is the largest in its class, is 1.402 mm. Thus, it has the title of “best living space” for passengers. The KONA's thin and firm seats, which are only 85 mm thick, also mean more living space for the rear passengers. The new KONA has two different upholstery options. The standard Black single-tone interior is offered in the N Line version with red stitching details, while the other models are offered in a gray two-tone option.

Top-class KONA with exciting dynamics combines spacious interior and solid stance with sophisticated simplicity, while increasing the width with all these features, in addition to the column-type electric gear lever located behind the steering wheel, cup holders, storage compartments for large bags and a large center console. The fully foldable second-row seat and rear compartment also support improved loading ease. In this way, it provides 466 liters of cargo space (up to 1.300 liters with the seats down according to VDA) to meet the highest user needs. These new dimensions mean an impressive 30 percent increased length and luggage capacity.

The new generation KONA's customizable smart electric tailgate is an added convenience for users. In addition, KONA's multiple charging ports, including an integrated memory system for seat position adjustments and a wireless charging system, also offer a greater mobility experience. Available with various driving convenience functions such as Intelligent Speed ​​Limit Assist (ISLA), Driver Attention Alert (DAW), Blind Spot Monitoring Assistant (BVM), High Beam Assist (HBA), Intelligent Cruise Control (SCC) and Lane Keeping Assist (LFA). .

Turkish consumers will be able to choose the New KONA model with four different engine options. While the internal combustion petrol engine options start with the 120-liter T-GDi Elite DCT with 200 hp (1.0 Nm of torque), the 198 T-GDi N Line with 265 hp (1.6 Nm of torque) stands out for more performance. For fuel economy, users will be able to purchase a 141-liter GDi Hybrid version that provides impressive acceleration and high efficiency with a combined output of 265 PS and up to 1.6 Nm of torque. These engine options are combined with a 7-speed Dual-Concept Transmission (7DCT) in turbo versions, while the hybrid version comes with a 6-speed Dual-Concept Transmission (6DCT). Hyundai KONA is offered with all-wheel drive in the N Line version, while other options can be purchased with front-wheel drive.

Hyundai will launch the all-electric version, which redefines the standards in electrification, in the last quarter of 2023.
