P Zero Tires for the New Alfa Romeo Tonale from Pirelli

Special Pirelli P Zero tires have been developed for the new Alfa Romeo Tonale, the Italian brand's first mass-produced electric car. The 235/40R20 96V XL size P Zero was chosen as the original equipment of various versions of Tonale, including Hybrid, Rechargeable Hybrid Q4 and diesel.

P Zero tires developed for the new Alfa Romeo Tonale focused on the car's sporty features and safe performance on dry and wet surfaces. As Pirelli aims with its 'Perfect Match' strategy, it is aimed to create synergy between the tires and the vehicle. From concept car to mass production

While developing special Pirelli P Zero tires for the Alfa Romeo Tonale, the two Milan-based brands worked together, starting with the first Tonale concept car on display at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. Various analyzes were carried out during the development and production process of the tire. In addition, virtual analysis and development studies, which are at the heart of Pirelli's development strategy, were carried out. The processes were completed with performance validation tests at Stellantis' Balocco and Pirelli's Vizzola Ticino tracks. The result was an all-round Italian tire designed at the R&D center in Milan and manufactured at the Settimo Torinese factory, one of the group's most advanced production facilities.
