In addition to the extremely flamboyant and assertive exterior, the interior was also renewed. Two new trim options are offered for the center console, light-grained brown walnut and gray ash wood. Leather seat options have also been renewed. Two new color combinations are offered, neva grey/magma gray and sienna brown/black.
Again, within the scope of the update, a new multifunctional steering wheel in nappa leather comes into play. The steering levers are finished in glossy black with an elegant silver-chrome bezel, while the gearshift paddles are offered in silver-chrome. The driver is assisted by DISTRONIC, Active Follow Assist and Active Steering Assist as part of the driving assistance package (optional equipment). The steering wheel uses capacitive technology to sense the driver's hands. The steering wheel rim has a two-zone sensor surface. Sensors in front of and behind the steering wheel detect whether the steering wheel is engaged. A steering wheel action is no longer required to notify driver assistance systems that the vehicle is under control. This increases ease of use in semi-autonomous driving.
