Now we are fulfilling our promise. ”

A spectacular world premiere on three continents simultaneously

Porsche Taycan's world premiere took place simultaneously in North America, China and Europe. Three sustainable energy destinations were selected on three continents: Niagara Falls, which forms the border between New York state of the USA and Ontario, Canada, representing hydroelectric energy, a solar field in Neuhardenberg near Berlin and representing solar energy, and A wind farm representing wind energy, located on Pingtan Island, about 3 kilometers from the city of Fuzhou in China.

Two models in the first place: Taycan Turbo and Taycan Turbo S

Taycan Turbo S and Taycan Turbo represent the newest models of the e-Performance series and the strongest production models Porsche currently holds in its product range. After this year, models of four-wheel drive sports cars with lower power will also be available. Taycan Cross Turismo will be the first model to be added to the product range at the end of 2020. Porsche plans to invest more than 2022 billion Euros in the field of electromobility by 6.

Where performance and efficiency meet

After the world premiere on three continents today, Taycan Turbo and Turbo S models will be exhibited for the first time at the IAA Motorshow in Frankfurt.

The maximum speed of the 260 km / h, Turbo S model with the take-off control system 560 kW (761 ps), Thai Turbo 500 kW (680 ps) provides power.

Taycan Turbo 0'den 100 km / h speed reaches 3,2 in seconds, the range 450 km, Taycan Turbo S model 0'den 100 km / h speed in 2.8 seconds reach 412 km range.

Taycan is the first fully electric sports car to work with an 400-volt system instead of the normal voltage level of 800 volts for electric cars. Thanks to this feature, which provides an important advantage for Taycan drivers, the battery can be recharged in just five minutes for a range of up to 100 kilometers (according to WLTP). The time calculated for Taycan's battery to reach the charge level from 5 percent to 80 percent is approximately 22.5 minutes and has a maximum charging power of 270 kW.

Exterior design with Porsche DNA

With its exterior design, Taycan signals the beginning of a new era and carries the traces of Porsche's easily recognizable design DNA. When viewed from the front, it is a very wide and flat silhouette, its wings are quite distinctive. The sporty roofline with a downward slope at the back shapes the silhouette. Sharp-line sides are also among the car's characteristic features. Innovative elements such as the Porsche logo with glass effect integrated into the LED stop lighting on the back also attract attention.

10,9 inch central infotainment display

The cockpit, which has a new architecture with its simple design, emphasizes that a new era has begun. The innovative dashboard consists of a 16,8-inch display with rounded lines, typical of Porsche. The 10,9-inch central information and entertainment display and the optional passenger display are designed in a single piece black glass panel. The number of traditional hardware controls such as buttons and buttons has been significantly reduced, and all user interfaces have been completely renewed for Taycan. Instead, the controls have been made smart and intuitive to respond to touch operation or voice command.

The first interior-free interior design from Porsche

With Taycan, Porsche is presenting an interior design where leather is never used for the first time. The interior electric sports car, made from innovative recycled materials, has been designed to suit the sustainable concept unique to the car. Since there are no battery modules in the rear footrests, comfort is provided while sitting in the back and enables low car weight specific to sports cars.

The Taycan model has two luggage compartments with 81 at the front and 366 at the rear.

Innovative driving engines and two-speed gearbox

Taycan Turbo S and Taycan Turbo have two electric motors, one on the front axle and the other on the rear axle, making the cars all-wheel drive.

An innovation developed by Porsche is the two-speed transmission mounted on the rear axle. The first gear gives the Thai model greater acceleration at the start, while the second gear provides high efficiency and high power reserves.

Porsche chassis systems

Porsche's conventional integrated Porsche 4D-Chassis Control system analyzes and synchronizes all chassis systems in real time. Also, as with all models, there are Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC Sport) systems including PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) and Porsche Torque Steering Plus (PTV Plus). Another unique feature of the car is its four-wheel drive and recovery system with two electric motors. Driving tests show that approximately 90 percent of braking in everyday driving is carried out only by electric motors and that the braking system is not activated. In addition to four different driving modes: “Range”, “Normal”, “Sport” and “Sport Plus”, individual systems can be configured as required in “Individual” mode.
