Official data shared by the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD) clearly reveals the dynamics of the Turkish automotive market in 2025. In the light of this data, critical indicators such as the growth rates of the automobile and light commercial vehicle (HTA) markets, preferred models by segment and the distribution of powertrains shed light on the future of the sector. January-December 2025 periodAutomobile sales for Turkey increased by 10.62% to 1,084,496 units, and the HTA market increased by 9.97% to 283,904 units. For electric vehicles, the distribution focused on power and efficiency is remarkable. Sales of electric cars under 160 kW increased by 75.2% to 13.9% share. Electric models above 160 kW grew by 113.5% and reached a share of 3.8%. These data show that the demand for high-performance and long-range electric vehicles is rising rapidly.

Automatic transmissions are clearly dominant in automobile sales. Automatic transmission vehicles, which reached a 95% share in total sales, sold 1,030,458 units. Cars with manual transmission remained at 5% share with 54,038 units.
