Israel: There will be no Turkish soldiers in Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister’s Office Spokesperson Shosh Bedrosian announced that Turkey’s participation in the multinational force planned to be deployed in Gaza is not desired.

In response to a journalist’s question, Bedrosian stated, “There will be no Turkish military in Gaza, neither in the past, nor today, nor in the future, especially regarding international stability forces”.

Recently, Turkey announced that it had issued arrest warrants for 37 Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, on charges of “genocide”.

The Israeli government firmly denied the accusations, while Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar described Turkey’s move as “Erdogan’s new public relations stunt”.

Defense Minister Israel Katz, in a Turkish message shared on Sunday via social media platform X (formerly Twitter), emphasized that Turkey would not be involved in Gaza’s future.

The post targeted President Erdogan with a cartoon showing him looking through binoculars at the ruins of Gaza, with the Israeli flag on them:

“Take those ridiculous detention orders and get out of here. They are more appropriate for the massacres you commit against Kurds. Israel is strong and fearless. You will only be able to see Gaza through binoculars.”

Former minister and Yisrael Beytenu Party leader Avigdor Liberman also shared on the X platform that the arrest warrants issued by Turkey for Israeli officials clearly indicate that “Turkey should not be directly or indirectly involved in Gaza”.
