Toyota Turkey Marketing and Sales Inc. CEO Ali Haydar Bozkurt stated that Yaris 1.0 will be in the 50 percent SCT segment and said, “Our competitive price, especially in the B segment, will distinguish our Yaris 1.0 model from its competitors and will increase its sales figures. We expect Yaris, which currently has a share of 3 percent in Toyota sales, to become one of our most preferred models with the contribution of the 1.0-liter version.”
Stating that the B segment has achieved a rapidly increasing sales chart in Turkey as well as in Europe, Bozkurt also stated that there were some supply problems with the pandemic period: “Our 1.5 liter gasoline and 1.5 hybrid Yaris models, which we introduced to the market at the end of last year, were highly appreciated and highly demanded. In 2021, we will reach the sales target we set for the Yaris as well. In the first 7 months of the year, we expect Yaris's share in the B HB segment to reach 2021 percent by the end of 1,9 and to continue to increase in the next period.” he said.
