Citroen Ami Closes 2023 with Record Sales

Citroen Turkey achieved a great sales success in a short time and closed the year 2023 with a record sales.

Citroen Turkey completed last year by ranking 63rd globally with record sales of 153 thousand 3 units. Citroen Turkey, which also received the title of "The Fastest Growing Light Commercial Vehicle Brand in Turkey", also broke a record with its sales in the field of micromobility.

Speaking about Ami's online sales figures, Citroen Turkey General Manager Selen Alkım said, “Citroen Ami left 2023 behind with sales of 2 thousand 848 units. With this record sales figure, Citroen Turkey became the 3rd country where the most Amis were sold worldwide last year. "The Citroen My Ami Buggy model, which was produced in a limited number of 9 units for 40 different countries and a quota was allocated for Turkey, was sold out in just XNUMX minutes from the moment it was put on sale," he said.

The 100 percent electric Citroen Ami is a four-wheeled bicycle that can reach speeds of up to 45 km/h, offers a clutch-free, soft and fluid ride, as well as high traction power from the first moment of movement thanks to the high torque value produced by the electric motor. Moreover, it allows completely silent driving with its fully electric powertrain. Providing free transportation in the city, Ami can reach a driving range of up to 75 kilometers with a single charge. This covers the commuting needs of most workers. The 5,5 kWh capacity lithium-ion battery is hidden in the vehicle floor and can be easily charged with the cable located in the passenger side door sill. To charge the Citroen Ami, it is sufficient to plug the integrated cable inside the passenger door into a standard socket (220 V), just like a smartphone or laptop. With Citroen Ami, which can be charged 4 percent in just 100 hours, the need for a special charging station is eliminated.
