First Local SWM Model in Eskişehir in Autumn Production

SWM Motors and ATMO Group accelerated their investment activities with the joint venture they established with Urzema Holding. SWM Türkiye, which decided to start production in Eskişehir OSB, plans to roll its first domestic model off the production line in the fall.

ATMO Group, one of the international automotive sales and distribution companies, is accelerating its investments in Türkiye, where it entered with SWM Motors in 2023. Aiming to expand in international markets as a Turkey-based company, ATMO Group recently established Urzat Otomotiv AŞ, a joint venture with Urzema Holding, for production in Türkiye. The joint venture initiated with Urzema Holding, one of Türkiye's well-established industrial organizations, determined the location where production will be carried out. In this context, SWM Turkey decided to start production in Eskişehir Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) through Urzat Otomotiv AŞ, a joint venture between ATMO Group and Urzema Holding.

Stating that they reached an agreement in principle in the last period of 2024, Burak Azmanoğlu gave the following information about the process:

“On the production side, Urzema Holding will be in the pilot seat and our vehicles will be produced in their facilities. We will continue our distributorship activities as ATMO. Both ATMO and our Chinese partner SWM brand have great faith in the Turkish market. Turkey has become an important market with over 1 million vehicle sales. We set out thinking about how we could create added value in this market and eventually reached a very valuable production step for our country.”

Emphasizing that the process is progressing faster than expected, Azmanoğlu said, “As SWM, ATMO and Urzema Holding, we started this project with the same vision and belief. Our work started in July-August of 2023. As of today, we are in the final stage. We aim to introduce the G01 Pro model, specially developed for Turkey, to Turkish consumers in the fall. We continue our plans to include different models in production in the future.”

As a production base, Eskişehir will serve not only the domestic market but also exports. Azmanoğlu said, “Our G01 model is currently being sold in our country. The G01 Pro model, which will be on the roads as a domestic production, will enter the market with its new interior design, technology and engine-transmission option. Our infrastructure work on the export side continues. ATMO Group is currently operating in the Balkans and Europe. Therefore, it is possible to position Türkiye as an export base. This initiative will provide significant added value to Türkiye.”
