Toyota has displayed a remarkable performance in the Turkish automobile market in the first four months of 2025, recording a growth of over 2024 percent compared to the same period in 63. Reaching a total sales figure of 27 units, the Japanese automotive giant has successfully become the second most preferred automobile brand in Türkiye. This record sales performance has also brought Toyota's share in the Turkish automobile market to 177 percent. When light commercial vehicles and passenger cars are included, Toyota's total sales reached 8.8 units, an increase of 51 percent compared to the same period last year.
Corolla Sedan at the Top, Hybrid and SUV Wind Blowing
Among the most popular Toyota models in Türkiye in the first four months of 2025, the Toyota Corolla Sedan ranked first with 12 units sold. It was followed by the Toyota C-HR Hybrid with 926 units and the Corolla Cross Hybrid with 8 units. Toyota, which has a wide SUV product range, has also displayed an assertive stance in the Turkish SUV market with models such as the Yaris Cross Hybrid, Toyota C-HR Hybrid, Corolla Cross Hybrid, RAV789 Hybrid and Land Cruiser Prado.
Toyota's total SUV sales in the first four months of the year reached 13 units, accounting for 875 percent of total passenger car sales. The Toyota C-HR Hybrid, in particular, managed to become one of the top three most preferred models in the Turkish SUV market in the January-April period with sales of 51 units. Toyota, which has a strong presence in the C-SUV segment with the Toyota C-HR Hybrid and Corolla Cross Hybrid, also stood out as the best-selling brand in this segment.
Undisputed Leadership in Hybrid Technology
Another important pillar of Toyota’s success in the Turkish market is its leadership in hybrid technology. Toyota, which had a 19 percent share in the overall mild hybrid, full hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicle market in the January-April period, reinforced its leadership in this area. In the full hybrid vehicle market in particular, Toyota maintained its leadership by far outpacing its competitors with sales of 18 units in the first four months and a market share of 196 percent. This data shows that Turkish consumers are increasingly interested in hybrid technology and that Toyota’s strong image in this area is positively reflected in sales figures.
Toyota’s impressive growth in the Turkish automobile market and its leadership in the hybrid and SUV segments can be considered as a result of the brand’s strong product range, technological innovations and the importance it attaches to customer satisfaction. Toyota, which is expected to show a similar performance throughout the rest of 2025, looks set to continue to strengthen its position in the Turkish automobile market.
