Ford Türkiye Introduced Its Electric Vehicles
Ford Turkey introduced its new electric passenger and commercial vehicles by bringing together leading names from the press and society at an impressive launch event held at the Istanbul Park Race Track. The launch featured the striking Puma Gen-E, produced at Ford Otosan’s Craiova Factory in Romania, as well as the Red Dot design award-winning Ford Explorer produced in Europe and one of Ford’s most iconic models, the new electric Ford Capri. Participants also had the opportunity to closely examine the E-Tourneo Courier and E-Tourneo Custom models produced by Ford Otosan.
Ford Turkey, which has expanded its vehicle range with 5 new electric models, has demonstrated its intention to gain a solid place in the electric vehicle market with both light commercial and passenger vehicles. Beyond offering electric vehicles to its customers, Ford Turkey announced that it has started the “Ford Age of Electricity” by simultaneously electrifying many different models from compact SUVs to comfortable city vehicles, from sports vehicles to light commercial vehicles.
Speaking at the launch, Ford Turkey Business Area Leader Özgür Yücetürk stated that the introduced models are not only a technical transformation, but also a new generation reflection of the Ford brand's core values such as design, connectivity, performance and ease of use. Yücetürk said, “With Ford Pro, we were offering our commercial customers not only vehicles but also an ecosystem, end-to-end integrated solutions with smart fleet management, dynamic vehicle planning, charging infrastructures, and predictable cost solutions. Now, this infrastructure and experience are at the service of end users for passenger vehicles. Because in our opinion, electric mobility is not a product on its own; it is an ecosystem. And as Ford Turkey, we have the vision of leading the transformation of this ecosystem.”
Yücetürk, who underlined that they are building the electric future step by step, said, “We offer the richest electric product range in Türkiye with the most established dealer network. We produce approximately 100 of the 75 vehicles we offer for sale at Ford Otosan. While reasserting our claim in passenger cars, I would like to remind you once again that this transformation is not only about vehicles. For us, establishing the ecosystem we have been working on for a long time and providing our customers with the service we desire is at least as important as offering our vehicles to the market.”
Ford Turkey Marketing Leader Talat İşçioğlu, in his speech emphasizing the brand’s electrification strategy, said, “For us, the transition to electricity is not a change of engine; it is a change of mind. We are establishing a brand new ecosystem that we have created with our vehicles and services. Today, we know that we have a critical role in the electric transformation in automotive. From our perspective, we are opening a new era in electricity. We call this the Ford Age of Electricity.”
New Ford Puma Gen-E: Exceptional Style in an Electric Urban SUV
The fully electric version of Europe’s best-selling passenger car, the Puma Gen-E, produced by Ford Otosan, offers agility, efficiency and elegance in urban mobility. Manufactured at Ford Otosan’s Craiova factory, the Puma Gen-E brings together style and functionality with its sporty design, connected new-generation cabin and increased luggage capacity. The prominent features of the Ford Puma Gen-E, which is offered in Türkiye with a suggested retail price starting from 1.593.100 TL, are as follows:
- Providing high efficiency with its advanced electric motor and 14,2 kWh/100 km energy consumption, the new Puma Gen-E reaches 100 percent charge in 23 minutes with 80 kW DC fast charging.
- Offering an extraordinary driving experience, the vehicle offers a driving range of up to 353 km, allowing driving up to 494 km in the city without charging.
- Reaching a speed of 100 km/h in 8,0 seconds with its uninterrupted acceleration feature, the Puma Gen-E offers the Puma ST character in electric form with its quick steering responses.
- Thanks to its compact engine, the Puma Gen-E provides ideal space efficiency for busy city lives and young families. The GigaBox lower luggage compartment, unique to the Puma Gen-E, increases ease of use and flexibility. Thanks to this practical area, a loading volume of up to 574 liters can be obtained up to the roof with the rear seats in place. Additional luggage capacity is provided with 43 liters of storage space gained from the gasoline engine in the front. With this feature, the vehicle has a larger luggage capacity than larger SUVs.

- With the FordPass app, it is possible to stay connected to the Puma Gen-E wherever you are, control the vehicle remotely and access up-to-date information about the vehicle. The Puma Gen-E is equipped with advanced features such as remote vehicle unlocking, locking and remote vehicle start/stop. Thanks to its connectivity features, data such as vehicle location, battery charge level, tire pressure and current mileage information can be easily accessed via the FordPass app. In addition, many services specific to electric vehicles, such as remote charge control during the charging process, departure time planning, target charge level determination and detailed display of charge history, are offered to Puma Gen-E users with FordPass.
Ford Explorer: An SUV That's Extraordinary in Comfort and Design
The Explorer, Ford's first fully electric SUV produced at the Cologne Electric Vehicle Center in Germany, is offered in two different equipment packages, Select and Premium, with a recommended retail price starting at 1.720.000 TL in Türkiye. - It can be fast-charged up to 25% in 80 minutes. It offers a range of up to 496 km in the city.
- With its 450-litre luggage capacity, spacious interior and state-of-the-art equipment, it is an attractive option for modern families and adventure enthusiasts.
- It stands out with its 14.6” SYNC Move screen, 17-liter mega storage space, ambient lighting, 21” rim option and advanced driving assistance systems.
- Additionally, the Explorer is the winner of the 2024 Red Dot design award, a prestigious award for vehicle design and concept.
New Ford Capri: Iconic Capri with Extraordinary Design Goes Electric
The new Ford Capri, manufactured in Cologne, brings Ford's iconic model to the present day, bringing the legend together with the design language of the electric age. Offered with a suggested retail price starting from 1.920.000 TL in Türkiye, the Capri's prominent features are as follows:
- It can be quickly charged up to 25% in 80 minutes. It allows driving up to 471 km in the city on a single charge.
- Thanks to its aerodynamic design, it has a fuel consumption of 16.5 kWh/100 km.
- It offers a safe and comfortable driving experience to the vehicle user with advanced driver assistance systems using 12 ultrasonic sensors, five cameras and three radars.
- The vehicle has notable features such as a panoramic glass roof, Matrix LED headlights, B&O sound system, 21” rim option and a large luggage volume of 572 liters.
- The interior also features a 14,5-inch floating touchscreen, a 1,5-litre mega console under the front armrest that can hold three 17-litre drinks bottles, and more than 572 litres of luggage space.
Ford E-Tourneo Courier Journey and Ford E-Tourneo Custom Are Also on Stage
The electric versions of Ford's popular commercial vehicle models were also exhibited at the event. While the Ford E-Tourneo Courier Journey is preferred by large families with its comfortable interior volume, the E-Tourneo Custom stands out with its VIP vehicle comfort and prestigious journey. Designed and engineered by Ford Otosan and manufactured in Ford Otosan's Craiova factory in Romania, the E-Tourneo Courier Journey is offered for sale in Türkiye with a suggested sales price starting from 1.685.000 TL. The main features of the E-Tourneo Courier Journey are as follows:
- It can be fast-charged from 23% to 10% in 80 minutes. It offers a range of up to 288 km in WLTP standards.
- It offers energy consumption of 17.3 – 17.5 kWh/100 km.
- With the rear seats open, the luggage capacity is 570 litres, and when the seats are folded down, it can increase to 2172 litres. In this respect, it is an attractive option for large families.
- Features such as the 12” touch screen, 12’’ instrument panel, keyless start, and electronic handbrake are among the elements that make the E-Tourneo Courier Journey stand out.
The E-Tourneo Custom, produced in Ford Otosan's Yeniköy factory, is offered with a recommended retail price starting from 2.896.400 TL. The main features of the E-Tourneo Custom are;
- Able to be fast-charged from 39% to 10% in 80 minutes, the E-Tourneo Custom has a driving range of up to 325 km.
- It has an energy consumption of 25.3 kWh/100 km.
- It offers maximum comfort and flexibility of use with its 8+1 seating capacity, movable and rotatable seats.
- The SYNC 4 infotainment system, 13″ touchscreen, and Pro-Power Onboard features integrate modern technology into journeys.
All the features offered with the FordPass Türkiye application are also available in the E-Tourneo Courier Journey and E-Tourneo Custom models, enriching the experience of drivers.
It is possible to step into the “Ford Age of Electricity” with both dealers and Ford Online
As of May 14, Puma Gen-E will be available at all Ford dealerships, while Explorer and Capri will be offered at Ford Store dealerships that take the customer experience to the next level. In addition, Ford users will be able to design Puma Gen-E, Capri and Explorer via the Ford Online platform and reserve them online by paying their deposits. E-Tourneo Courier Journey and E-Tourneo Custom will be available in June.
