Automotive Aftermarket Industry Meets in Istanbul

Bringing together leading representatives of the automotive aftermarket products and services sector, the Automotive Aftermarket Products and Services Association (OSS) has completed preparations for the second Aftermarket Summit, which has attracted great attention. Bringing together manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and independent services in the sector on the same platform, the summit is also receiving great interest from global stakeholders and leading names in the sector. The second Aftermarket Summit, which was first held in 2023 and is the first and only summit of the sector, is preparing to open its doors at DasDas in Istanbul on April 18.

Local and Foreign Experts Will Discuss the Future of the Sector

The second Aftermarket Summit, which is expected to be held with a large turnout this year as in the first summit, will be attended by many local and foreign sector representatives who are experts in their fields. In addition to the global effects of the radical changes in the automotive industry, the reflections of these changes on the aftermarket, the effects of developments in the world and Turkish economies on the sector, the problems faced by the sector and the opportunities it offers will be discussed in detail at the summit. The growth potential of the sector and the strategies that can be developed will also be discussed at the summit, where important speakers at national and international levels will take part. In addition to manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and independent services, global stakeholders and leading names in the sector will share their knowledge and experiences at the summit.

The opening speech of the event will be given by OSS Association Board Chairman Ali Özçete. A total of 8 important sessions will be held within the scope of the summit. Sustainable Mobility Initiative Founding Chairman Hakan Doğu will make a presentation titled “Today and Tomorrow of Automotive”, while FIGIEFA Board Chairman Mads Engberg will evaluate the current developments and expectations in the European automotive aftermarket. The Second Aftermarket Summit will also feature an important panel moderated by OSS Association Board Chairman Ali Özçete. In this panel, MANN+HUMMEL Turkey Automotive Aftersales Director Cemal Çobanoğlu, Messe Frankfurt Mobility and Logistics Vice President Michael Johannes, Schaeffler Vehicle Lifetime Solutions Turkey & Azerbaijan Sales Manager Hikmet Ömer İren and Maysan Mando Sales and Business Development Manager Vecibe Kaplan Arslan will share their valuable opinions on current developments and future visions in the sector. Another important panel titled “Turkey’s Impact on the AEMEA Region” will be moderated by Groupauto Middle East, Africa and India – Regional Director Mesut Urgancılar. In this panel, Valeo Service America, Middle East and Africa Vice President H. Burak Akın, MAHLE Aftermarket GmbH Europe, Middle East and Africa Sales Manager (EMEA) Murat İnce and Niterra Middle East, Africa, Eurasia, Aftermarket Director Tufan Baysal will make important assessments about the market dynamics in the AEMEA region and Türkiye's role in this region.
