Continental PremiumContact 7 Gets High Recommendation from German Auto Zeitung
The Continental PremiumContact 7 was named “highly recommended” in the 2025 summer tyre test by the German magazine Auto Zeitung. The test results confirmed the superiority of this tyre in wet performance.
In the latest summer tyre test by the German Auto Zeitung, the Continental PremiumContact 7 attracted attention by receiving the rating “highly recommendable”. The only tyre tested that is not in the high-performance tyre (UHP) segment, the PremiumContact 7 stood out with its impressive performance on wet roads. It achieved the shortest braking distance in the test, coming to a stop from 100 km/h to zero in just 41,8 metres.
The editorial team commented on this achievement: “Once again, the Continental delivers impressive performance with the shortest braking distances on wet roads. It offers safe and predictable roadholding, even in extreme situations. This all-round tyre handles like a true sports tyre.”
The PremiumContact 7 impressed the testers not only in the wet, but also in its dry performance. “It offers the best rolling resistance, high safety and balanced environmental performance. The expected mileage is very high, the rolling resistance is low – excellent!” it was evaluated.
Continental tire expert Andreas Schlenke commented on this success with the following words: “The PremiumContact 7 represents the essence of the Continental brand: maximum safety on wet and dry roads. Results such as the Auto Zeitung test clearly demonstrate the success of our tyre. In the last two years, the PremiumContact 7 has won more than 30 first places in international press tests.”
The PremiumContact 7 has been designed as an all-round tyre and provides a perfect balance between safety, comfort and environmental friendliness. With its superior grip on wet roads, low rolling resistance and high mileage, it stands out as a sustainable choice for environmentally conscious drivers.
This tire is available in a variety of sizes from 16 to 21 inches. It is compatible with electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as passenger cars and SUVs with internal combustion engines, and therefore carries the EV compatibility mark on the sidewall.
