Kübra Keskin, an employee of the Osmangazi Municipality Editorial Directorate and the first and only disabled female rally pilot in the world, met with Osmangazi Mayor Erkan Aydın before the Aegean Rally, the first leg of the 2025 Turkish Rally Championship.
Kübra Keskin, an employee of Osmangazi Municipality Registry Office, will be behind the wheel to achieve new successes in the Aegean Rally, the first leg of the 14 Turkish Rally Championship, which will be held in Marmaris between March 16-2025.
The successful pilot, who competed in the European Rally Championship last year as the first and only disabled female rally pilot in the world and won the double cup, will represent Osmangazi Municipality on the tracks this season. Emphasizing that this season has a special importance for her as she will be competing on behalf of Osmangazi Municipality, the successful pilot met with Osmangazi Mayor Erkan Aydın and shared her excitement.
Osmangazi Mayor Erkan Aydın met with Kübra Keskin, who came in front of Osmangazi Municipality with the vehicle she will race in the championship.
Stating that they are always by the side of the successful pilot as Osmangazi Municipality, Mayor Aydın said, “We were proud of Kübra Keskin’s successes in the European Rally Championship held in Italy last year. We expect the same performance from her this year. As Osmangazi Municipality, we are always by her side. We will provide all the support we can. As a female athlete, and a disabled female athlete in particular, she will make us proud once again with her successes. I wish her an accident-free season. I am sure that she will leave this race with successful results. I believe that she will represent our country, city and district in the best way possible, not only in Türkiye but also in Europe. Bursa is a successful city in motor sports. It has raised many important rally drivers. Hopefully, Kübra will also reach much better places in the international arena. I wish her success.”
Successful pilot Kübra Keskin expressed that she is very happy to be racing for Osmangazi Municipality this season. Stating that her goal this year is to achieve great success both in Türkiye and Europe, Keskin said the following:
“Last year, our President Erkan provided very important support in the European Rally Championship. With this support, we achieved great success in Türkiye and Europe. My goal this year is to surpass these successes. I am the first and only disabled female rally driver in the world. I compete with drivers who are not disabled in motor sports. As a woman competing in a sport dominated by men, and moreover as a disabled female athlete, it is very important for me to be able to inspire others. The support given by our President Erkan Aydın is very important for me. I am very excited to represent both my institution and our city. I hope it will be a great season. Our races start in Marmaris this week. God willing, I will return with great successes and trophies. I wish to be the champion in my category this season. At the same time, I want to fly our flag by getting on the podium in the European Rally Championship like last year.”
