High School Students Produced in 3 Months: Scrap Parts Turned into Electric Vehicles

An Innovative Project from Selendi Anatolian High School: Electric Vehicle

Selendi Anatolian High School students, under the leadership of their Advisor Teacher Mehmet Nadir Kavruk, implemented the 'Under-visible solar-supported hidden-body electric vehicle' project in a short period of 3 months. The aim of this project was to produce an environmentally sensitive and environmentally friendly electric vehicle.

The electric vehicle produced is equipped with modern technologies. The vehicle is equipped with a camera system that can detect whether there is an animal under it, thanks to the environmentally friendly recording technologies located underneath. In addition, a compartment that can be opened and closed at the back to carry loads is enriched with Life P04 battery and HD quality cameras. This vehicle can reach a speed of 35 kilometers per hour and can cover a distance of 9 kilometers on a full charge.

This innovative project was developed to contribute to Turkey's technology and innovative leadership goals in line with the vision of the Turkish Century. The project aims to be an important step in students' career journeys.

Selendi District Governor Tarık Safa Kahveci, who carried out a test drive with the vehicle, praised the students and teachers by saying, “It really is a perfect work. I congratulate you. You have created such a beautiful work by working with team spirit.”

Project Teacher Mehmet Nadir Kavruk said, “We successfully produced our electric vehicle through teamwork. I would like to thank our project team and everyone who contributed.”

School Principal Gökhan Gümüş also touched upon the importance of the support for the project and said, “When we are supported, we can do even better. As long as we are supported, we can do better and start mass production. I would like to thank all stakeholders of our school who contributed to this project, especially District Governor Tarık Safa Kahveci, District National Education Director Ahmet Ataşman, chamber presidents, Hunters and Shooters Association President Industrial Tradesmen Mehmet Işık, Sinan Atasoy, Emreh Ercan, Onur Terzi, Hikmet Ateş, Ferhat Kılıç and technician Kemal Erim, as well as our School Family Association President Fatih Aktaş.”

Selendi District Governor Tarık Safa Kahveci also supported the promotion of the project by taking a city tour with an electric vehicle.
