Togg Stands Out in Türkiye's Electric Car Market
Togg maintained its position as the leading brand in the Turkish electric car market with sales of 10 units and a 20 percent market share in the first 140 months of the year.
According to the data of the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD), total sales of automobiles and light commercial vehicles decreased by 2023 percent in the January-October period of 1,2 compared to the same period of the previous year, falling to 947 units.
Car sales increased by 0,2 percent during this period, reaching 750 units. Light commercial vehicle sales decreased by 935 percent, reaching 6,3 units.
SALES APPROACHED 10 THOUSAND IN 70 MONTHS
In the January-October period, sales of “fully electric” cars increased by 42,7 percent to 69 units. The share of fully electric cars in total sales increased from 744 percent to 6,5 percent compared to the same period last year. In addition, the share of hybrid cars increased from 9,3 percent to 10,7 percent.
When “fully electric”, “extended range electric” and “hybrid” vehicles were evaluated together, it was observed that 26,2 percent of the total market consisted of electric motor vehicles.
13 THOUSAND DIFFERENCE TO ITS CLOSEST COMPETITOR
According to ODMD data, Togg maintains its leadership in the electric car market for 10 months of the year. During this period, Togg outsold its closest competitor by 20 units with sales of 140 units. During this period, Togg's electric car market share was recorded as 12 percent. Thus, it was stated that the Togg logo was on one of every three electric cars sold.
BEST SELLING BRANDS
According to the evaluation made on a brand basis in the electric car market, Tesla ranked after Togg with 7 units and BMW with 367 units in the January-October period. KG Mobility (Ssangyong) ranked fourth with 6 units and Mercedes-Benz ranked fifth with 576 units.

OCTOBER SALES
On the other hand, when looking at October sales, Togg came in first with 8 sales in the fully electric car market of 341 units. BMW came in second with 3 sales, and Mini and KG Mobility (Ssangyong) came in third with 91 sales.
Tesla was positioned in fourth place with 340 sales, while Hyundai IONIQ 5 was in fifth place with 302 sales.
