Apple Vision Pro Glasses: Generation 2 and Future Plans

Apple Vision Pro Glasses and Their Future

Apple caused a stir in the technology world last year when it introduced its innovative mixed reality glasses, the Vision Pro. The company set the general sale date of these glasses as February 2024. According to Bloomberg, Apple's 2nd-generation Vision Pro is expected to launch sometime between fall 2025 and spring 2026. This estimate is largely in line with previous reports, but it does take a slightly more cautious approach.

MORE AFFORDABLE GLASSES POSTPONED

Based on some past analysis, supply chain expert Ming-Chi Kuo reported that Apple has seriously delayed its plans to develop a more affordable Vision headset. Instead, the company will focus its priority on the second-generation Apple Vision Pro, which is set to launch next year.

M5 CHIP CAN BE TRIED FOR THE FIRST TIME

Apple is planning to switch from the M2 chip to the more advanced M2 chip when it introduces the Vision Pro 5. This switch is expected to provide a big boost in performance. The first-generation Vision Pro was launched with the latest M2 chip at the time of its launch. However, the rapid introduction of the M3 and M4 chips has left the $3.500 mixed reality headset feeling a bit behind.

It is also anticipated that the Vision Pro 2 will have a similar design to the current-generation Apple Vision Pro. This design continuity could allow users to maintain their existing experiences and habits.
