Honda announced that it has taken important steps towards its goal of launching '2024 EV' models on a global scale by 2030 by introducing the electric 'EV Fun Concept' and 'EV Urban Concept' models at EICMA 30, one of the most prestigious motorcycle shows in Europe. The show, which will run until November 10 in Milan, showcases the brand's vision for the future with Honda's new electric concept models and innovative internal combustion engine technologies.
Attracting attention at the fair with new models to be launched in 2025, Honda stands out with its own engineering technologies and human-focused design approach. All of the new models comply with the 'Euro5+' emission standards and reflect Honda's goal of bringing the freedom of mobility to as many users as possible and expanding mobility options for every individual.
EV Fun Concept and EV Urban Concept
Honda’s first electric sports motorcycle, the EV Fun Concept, stands out by offering performance equivalent to a mid-size internal combustion engine. Featuring a modern and futuristic design language, the concept is planned to be commercialized as a user-friendly ‘naked motorcycle’ in 2025. With a battery offering a driving range of over 100 kilometers, the EV Fun Concept has the ability to work with fast chargers compatible with cars.
Reflecting the vision of urban mobility, the EV Urban Concept stands out with its functional design, connected technologies and innovative battery pack. This model, which exhibits a simple and stylish design, shapes the concept of future mobility by offering new experiences to its users with its 'intuitive human-machine interface' (HMI).
V3 Engine Concept
Another innovation on display at EICMA 2024 is the highly efficient and high-performance V3 internal combustion engine concept. This extremely slim and compact water-cooled engine features the world’s first electric compressor for motorcycles. The new compressor compresses the intake air regardless of engine speed, providing high torque across all engine speed ranges.
Introduction of New Models
At EICMA this year, Honda also introduced three new models that have been eagerly awaited by motorcycle enthusiasts: the NC750X, CB750 Hornet and XL750 Transalp.
- Honda NC750X: The renewed NC750X offers sharper design lines and improved braking performance with dual front brake discs. The redesigned seat provides greater comfort, while the new TFT screen with 'Honda RoadSync' connectivity makes the driving experience practical. The optional dual-clutch transmission offers a smoother ride, especially at low speeds.
- Honda CB750 Hornet: The CB750 Hornet is preparing to hit the roads with a new front face design featuring a high-performance LED headlight unit in 2025. The updated 5-inch TFT screen and a suspension system optimized for a sportier ride support the development of the model.
- Honda XL750 Transalp: The updated XL750 Transalp draws attention with its new LED dual projector headlights and front fascia design inspired by the ‘Africa Twin’ model. The revised fairing improves airflow and driver comfort, while new suspension settings provide stability on rougher surfaces.
Honda's PCX125 and ADV350, Europe's best-selling scooter models, are also exhibited at the fair with striking design lines and new equipment features.
