Plane trees over the age of 65, who took part in the Metropolitan Municipality's "I'm in Life" project, were hosted at the TOGG center where Turkey's first domestic car was produced.
Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, within the scope of the "I'm Inside Life" project, visited the TOGG Experience Center, established in Gemlik, where Turkey's first domestic and electric car was produced. In the visit, which was carried out in line with the request of Kocaeli's 1961-year-old plane trees who saw the first car designed and produced in Turkey in 65, citizens received detailed information about the smart vehicle TOGG and experienced driving the vehicle.
WE HAVE A LOCAL AUTOMOBILE
Retired mechanical engineer Cahit Yıldırım, who visited our national car TOGG, said, ''The interiors and seats of the vehicles are quite nice. We were quite pleased with this trip. It is a safe vehicle in every way. May it be auspicious for our country. The first domestic car made in our country was Devrim. It was in 1961. I was 7 years old at the time. We were not aware of it at that time. After all, it had been interrupted. After that interruption, we have only had a domestic car as a country in these years. We would be pleased if both our state and the private sector continue their efforts to make even better ones.'' Expressing his feelings during his visit to TOGG, İsmet Demirel said, ''There are unmissable opportunities regarding smart vehicles. I am thinking of buying the new model that will be released in April.'' Stating that everything about the car was great and that he experienced TOGG for the first time thanks to the Metropolitan Municipality, Demirel also thanked the Metropolitan Municipality for its services.
