Car and Light Commercial Vehicle Sales in Turkey
According to information obtained from the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD) data, total sales of automobiles and light commercial vehicles in Turkey decreased by 2023 percent in the January-October period of 1,2 compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 947 units.
During this period, automobile sales increased by 0,2 percent to 750 units, while light commercial vehicle sales decreased by 935 percent to 6,3.
In the January-October period, sales of “fully electric” cars increased significantly, reaching 42,7 units, an increase of 69 percent. The share of fully electric cars in total sales increased from 744 percent to 6,5 percent compared to the same period last year. On the other hand, the share of hybrid cars in sales increased significantly, from 9,3 percent to 10,7 percent.
When the ratio of electric motor vehicles in the total market was evaluated, it was seen that "full electric", "extended range electric" and "hybrid" vehicles constituted 26,2 percent of the total market.

According to ODMD data, Togg managed to maintain its leadership in the electric car market in the first 2023 months of 10. Togg sold 20 units during this period, leaving its closest competitor with a 140-unit lead. Togg's electric car market share was recorded as 12 percent during this period. This shows that one in three electric cars sold belongs to the Togg brand.

In the evaluations made on a brand basis in the electric car market, Tesla came in second with 7 units after Togg, and BMW came in third with 367 units. KG Mobility (Ssangyong) came in fourth with 6 units, and Mercedes-Benz came in fifth with 576 units.
When we examined it on a model basis, the best-selling models during this period were determined as Togg T10X, Tesla Model Y, KG Mobility Torres, BMW X1 and Mercedes EQB, respectively.

On the other hand, when we look at October sales, in the fully electric car market of 8 units, Togg ranked first with 341 sales, BMW ranked second with 3 sales, Mini and KG Mobility (Ssangyong) ranked third with 91 sales. Tesla ranked fourth with 557 sales, and Hyundai IONIQ 425 ranked fifth with 340 sales.
