The company, which introduced the telematics solution it developed under the name Bus Monitor at the Busworld Turkey 2024 fair held in May, made the first international sale of the system to Portugal.

Otokar, one of the Koç Group companies, is expanding abroad with its technological solutions after exporting vehicles. The company made its first international sale to Portugal of the telematics solution called Bus Monitor, which it developed to reduce the costs of public transport operators and municipalities, increase their efficiency, plan their maintenance and ensure that they provide uninterrupted service.

Introduced at the Busworld Turkey 2024 fair held in May, Bus Monitor offers an innovative and effective solution for the management and optimization of bus fleets. The software developed by Otokar can receive data every second thanks to the telematics device connected to the vehicle's FMS (Fleet Management System) line. The software interprets the instant data and reflects it on the user screen. Bus Monitor, which has the ability to send messages to mobile devices, instantly provides all critical technical data such as door status, air conditioning status, interior temperature, remaining energy level, current speed, engine oil level, pressure and temperature, lining thickness, gas and brake pedal positions. reports.

IT DETECTS IT WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM

Bus Monitor, which can be integrated with corporate ERP systems and personalized according to customer demands, can monitor many data from mechanical part failures to engine oil temperature. Thanks to the alarms created on the data provided by the system, the vehicle can be detected before it breaks down and a solution is provided by providing maintenance service in a short time. In this way, possible costly malfunctions can be prevented.
