Lucid Air is preparing to create a new revolution in the electric vehicle market. The American-based company announced that the electric sedan can power other electric vehicles. In this way, Lucid Air owners will be able to transfer the energy from their vehicle's battery to those in need.

How did Lucid Air charge Tesla?

Lucid released a video to introduce this new technology. In the video, Lucid Air charges a Tesla Model 3 via a special cable. Lucid Air enables charging of other electric vehicles (including different brands) at speeds up to 9.6 kW, thanks to the technology called RangeXchange.

Thanks to this feature, Lucid Air can provide a range of 38 to 64 km to other electric vehicles in about an hour. This can be especially useful when electric vehicle charging stations are in short supply.

Lucid Air can also power the home grid

Lucid Air fits not only other electric vehicles but also zamIt can also provide energy to the home grid. This is made possible thanks to Lucid's bi-directional Wunderbox charging technology and proprietary software already built into every Lucid Air.

Lucid Air can lower the electric bill by energizing the home grid or provide electricity to the house in the event of a power outage. In this way, Lucid Air aims to be both an environmentally friendly and economical vehicle.

Lucid Air is a luxury electric sedan that will be launched in 2023. The vehicle has 1.080 horsepower and a range of 832 km. Lucid Air plans to compete with Tesla Model S. The price of Lucid Air starts from $77.400.
