What are the Ingredients for Milky Nuriye?
You can use the following ingredients to make Milky Nuriye:
50 sheets of phyllo dough
350 grams of butter
4 cups of hazelnuts or rice (if you cannot find them, you can finely chop the whole hazelnuts)
For the syrup:
3 cup powdered sugar
3 water glass milk
1,5 water glass of water
How to Make Nuriye with Milk?
To make Nuriye with Milk, first melt the butter in a small saucepan. Separate the milky part on the top and bottom and prepare a plain oil. Grease the bottom of your rectangular glass baking dish with melted butter using a brush. Cut the baklava phyllo into 25 layers according to the size of your baking dish. Spread butter between them and place them in your baking dish. When the first 25 layers are finished, sprinkle hazelnuts evenly on all sides and cover it with 25 more layers of baklava dough, lubricating the spaces between them. Cut your dessert into equal square slices. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
For the syrup, add water and granulated sugar to a pot, stir until the sugar dissolves and boil. Add the milk to your boiling syrup and mix gently without taking it off the stove. When Nuriye with Milk comes out of the oven, pour the warm syrup into the hot dessert and serve it when it cools down. Enjoy your meal!
