Apple Announces Apple Pencil, Its New Generation Smart Pen for iPads
Apple officially introduced Apple Pencil, the new generation smart pen that iPad users have been eagerly awaiting. The new Apple Pencil stands out with features such as USB-C connection, low latency and tilt ability. However, it lacks features such as pressure sensitivity and automatic pairing. The price and release date of the new Apple Pencil have also been announced.
New Apple Pencil Comes with USB-C Connection
Apple's new smart pen, Apple Pencil, comes with a USB-C connection hidden by a sliding cover. In this way, there is no need to carry an extra cable to charge the pen. The USB-C connection is compatible with iPads as well as other Apple devices such as Macbooks and iPhones.
Bob Borchers, Apple's VP of Product Marketing, said the new Apple Pencil is a versatile tool that increases productivity when combined with the iPad. “Apple Pencil offers a great option for tasks like note-taking, drawing and editing documents,” Borchers said.
New Apple Pencil Offers Low Latency and Tilt Ability
The new Apple Pencil also offers features such as low latency, tilt ability and pixel precision. In this way, the pen works naturally and fluently on the iPad screen. The pen can also be controlled with simple touch gestures.
However, the new Apple Pencil cannot offer pressure sensitivity. This makes it difficult to obtain lines of different thicknesses in pencil drawings. Additionally, the pen still does not automatically pair and charge when plugged into the side of the iPad. This requires users to manually establish a connection between the pen and the iPad.
Price and Release Date of the New Apple Pencil
The new Apple Pencil is planned to be released in the USA at the beginning of November for $ 79 (2 thousand 212 TL with the current exchange rate). In Turkey, an official price and release date have not been announced yet.
The new Apple Pencil will be introduced with the new iPad models. It is said that Apple is preparing to introduce new iPad models.
