Kia EV6 Comes in Affordable and Long Range Versions
Kia is further developing the EV6, an ambitious model in the electric car market. New versions of the EV2024, planned to be launched in 6, will offer longer range and be available at more affordable prices.
Kia EV6 attracted great attention as the brand's first fully electric vehicle. The design, performance and technology of the vehicle won the appreciation of electric car buyers. However, Kia continues to work to further improve the EV6.
According to order guide data revealed by Cars Direct, two new trim levels will be added to the Kia EV6. These equipment levels will be called EV6 Light Long Range and will reduce the price while increasing the range of the vehicle.
EV6 Light Long Range RWD: 500 km Range
The EV6 Light Long Range RWD version will be equipped with a rear-wheel drive system and use a large 77.4 kWh battery pack. In this way, the theoretical range of the vehicle will reach 500 km. Kia has not yet officially confirmed this information, but according to data from Cars Direct, the starting price of this version will be $ 45,950.
This price is $6 cheaper than the EV2,750 Wind version with the same battery pack. This means that it will be possible to buy the longest-range version of the Kia EV6 at a more affordable price.
EV6 Light Long Range e-AWD: All-Wheel Drive
The EV6 Light Long Range e-AWD version will come with a four-wheel drive system and will also use a large 77.4 kWh battery pack. The range of this version has not been announced yet, but it is expected to be less than the rear-wheel drive version.
The starting price of this version will be $49,850. That means it's $3,900 more expensive than the rear-wheel-drive version.
With this strategy, Kia seems to aim to offer electric car buyers more options and achieve the balance between range and cost. New versions of the Kia EV6 are planned to be released in 2024.
