5 Thousand TL Payment Arrangement to Retirees was Accepted in the Turkish Grand National Assembly
The regulation regarding the payment of 5 thousand TL to retirees was discussed and accepted in the GNAT Planning and Budget Commission. The regulation was added to the omnibus law called 'Law on the Use of Residences for Tourism Purposes and Amendments to Certain Laws'. Thus, if the regulation is approved by the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, it will become law.
5 Thousand TL Payment Date to Retirees: November
If the regulation regarding the payment of 5 thousand TL to retirees becomes law, the payments are planned to be made in November. Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan said that the payments will be made around the 15th of November. Minister Işıkhan stated that the payments will be deposited into bank accounts.
Who will benefit from the 5 Thousand TL Payment to Retirees?
Only non-working retirees will be able to benefit from the 5 thousand TL payment to retirees. President Erdoğan said, “We exclude from the scope our retirees who are both retired and continue to work.” said. Therefore, those who retire but continue to work will not benefit from this support.
SSK, Bağ-Kur and pension fund retirees will be able to benefit from the 5 thousand TL payment to retirees. In addition, those who have applied to EYT but have not yet received a pension will also be able to benefit from this support. Those receiving widows' and orphans' pensions will also receive support in proportion to their salaries.
The regulation regarding the payment of 5 thousand TL to retirees concerns approximately 12.2 million retirees. Thanks to this regulation, it is aimed to improve the economic situation of retirees and support them against the cost of living.
