Volkswagen introduced the new generation Tiguan model

Volkswagen's next-generation Tiguan model has been introduced for the European market and is coming to the United States next year. Although this new Tiguan has a familiar appearance in its exterior design, it is reminiscent of the ID.4 EV model, especially with its upper grille. The vehicle is a model built on the MQB Evo platform and is offered with front-wheel drive as standard, while an all-wheel drive version is also available.

Powerful Engine Options

The new generation Tiguan offers two different plug-in hybrid engine options in the European market. The total power of these options is determined as 201 horsepower (150 kW) or 268 horsepower (200 kW), respectively. These hybrid models also use a 19.7 kWh battery and their all-electric range can be up to 100 kilometers. Additionally, the AC charger now supports 11 kW, while the vehicle can accept up to 50 kW charging when connected to a DC fast charger.

Tiguan is also equipped with mild hybrid options. The turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine is backed by a 48-volt lithium-ion battery. Cylinder shut-down technology provides the engine with two-piston operation. Additionally, the third-generation Tiguan also has a turbocharged 201-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 150 horsepower (262 kW) or 195 horsepower (2.0 kW). Diesel options are still available. The 2.0-liter diesel engine can produce 148 horsepower (110 kW) or 190 horsepower (142 kW).

Advanced Technological Features

The new Tiguan is equipped with advances in technology. An improved adaptive chassis control system improves the vehicle's driving dynamics and integrates with features such as electronic differential lock and two-valve shock absorbers. In this way, drivers are offered a safer and more enjoyable driving experience.

Renewed Interior

There are also important innovations inside the vehicle. A new digital instrument panel layout and an updated infotainment system offer drivers a modern interior. Volkswagen's MIB graphic design was used on previous ID.4, ID.5 and ID.7 models. Drivers can now choose between different view modes, allowing for personalisation.

The new generation VW Tiguan attracts attention with its powerful engine options, advanced technological features and renewed interior. This vehicle is designed to meet Volkswagen's future automobile needs and provide drivers with more options. With its innovative features and environmentally friendly engine options, Tiguan reflects the developing vision of the brand.
