AlphaTauri's young pilot Yuki Tsunoda is disappointed with the bad luck he experienced in the Singapore Grand Prix.
Tsunoda suffered major damage to his vehicle after contact in the first lap of the race and could not complete the race.
Tsunoda said, “First of all, I congratulate Liam for getting the point. “He did a great job even though it was his first time driving an F1 car in Singapore.” said.
“From my perspective, the last two races were not smooth sailing for us. This is even more disappointing considering that the team arrived in Singapore with a major update package.”
“I had a good start but there was contact on the first lap. Due to this, the radiator, cooling system and sidepod were damaged. That being the case, we had to withdraw from the race.”
“It's frustrating, and it's sad not to see the checkered flag.”
“I'm very sorry for the team because I didn't have the opportunity to show my performance. “I think we definitely had the pace to score points.”
“However, I am resetting myself and aiming to come back strong at Suzuka.”
