Nationals Won Without Effort
Our National Women's Volleyball Team faced Peru in its third match in Group B of the 2024 Paris Olympic Qualifiers. In the match played at Yoyogi Hall Stadium in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, the national team defeated their opponent 25-17 with sets of 25-16, 23-25, 25-15 and 3-1.
The Nationals did not give their opponent a chance in the first two sets and played an easy game. In the third set, Peru showed resistance and won the set 25-23, making the score 2-1. In the fourth set, the national team recovered again and won the set 25-15, ending the match 3-1.
The Winning Streak of the Sultans of the Net Continues
Our National Women's Volleyball Team won its third match in the Olympic qualifiers, along with the win in Peru. The Nationals defeated Puerto Rico and Bulgaria 3-0 in their first two matches in the group.
The Nationals also have an 18-match winning streak. The Nationals were last defeated by Serbia in the 2022 European Championship final. The Nationals have won all official matches since that match, setting a record in this regard.
How are the points standings in Group B?
With the win over Peru, our National Women's Volleyball Team increased its points to 9 points in Group B and maintained its leadership. The national team is followed by Brazil and Japan, who collected 6 points each in two matches. Puerto Rico, Belgium and Argentina rank fourth, fifth and sixth with 3 points each. Peru and Bulgaria have not yet received any points.
