Reaching the highest performance in Turkey with the sales of 5 units in March, Citroen Turkey continues to break its own sales records.

Citroen Turkey, which broke its own record by reaching 8 thousand 528 sales in May, rose to the second place after France in the global sales ranking. Saying that the Turkish automotive market grew by 2022 percent in May compared to the same month of 70,9, Citroen Turkey General Manager Selen Alkım said, “The sales of the Citroen brand in Turkey grew by 581 percent in the same period. When we look at the 5-month results as of the end of May, while the Turkish market grew by 60.5 percent, we, as Citroen, grew by 130 percent and reached a total sales of 24 thousand 16 units. Expressing that a remarkable growth has been achieved not only in passenger cars but also in commercial vehicles, Selen Alkım said, “34 percent of our sales in May consisted of commercial vehicles with 2 thousand 921 units. While the commercial vehicle market grew by 5 percent in the first 130 months, we grew by 300 percent. As a brand, we have increased our sales in every segment we are in.”

Citroen, the brand known for comfort and technology in the automotive world, continues to increase its performance in the Turkish market day by day with its innovative models and rich equipment level. Making a quick start to 2023, Citroen reached the highest monthly sales figure in Turkey with the sales figure of 5 units in March. Citroen has now set a new record in monthly sales volume with its performance in May. The brand, which increased its sales by 348 percent in May compared to the same month of 2022, achieved an important success in the Citroen world with its sales of 581 thousand 8 units. With this sales volume, the Turkish market, which has risen to the position of Citroen's second highest selling country in the world, has succeeded in entering the top 528 countries globally in the first 5 months.

Therefore, the process until the end of May was very successful for us.” Emphasizing that the aforementioned sales success brought Citroën Turkey forward in the ranking of countries, Selen Alkım said, “We want to see Turkey in the top 2025 in the Citroën world by 5, the target was given from the global center. We entered the top 2023 countries at the end of April 5. Adding the latest figures, we became the second globally in the list of countries in May, and strengthened our position at the 5th place globally in the first 5 months.” Expressing that the growth achieved was realized not only in passenger cars but also in commercial vehicles, Selen Alkım continued: “In May, 34% of our sales consisted of commercial vehicles with 2 thousand 921 units. While the commercial vehicle market grew by 5 percent in the first 130 months, we grew by 300 percent by increasing our sales in every segment we are in."
