Meeting the roads of Turkey in March 2023, the Peugeot 408 won the "Design of the Year" award in the "Car of the Year" competition, held for the 8th time this year by the Automotive Journalists Association (OGD).

In the category of “Design of the Year” determined by the votes of OGD member journalists; The new 408 in fastback form, which has attracted great attention since the first day it was introduced and attracts attention with its SUV codes in Peugeot's C segment, with its eye-catching design and innovative approach, won one of the most valuable awards in this field in our country, after the International Red Dot Design Award. Regarding the "Design of the Year" award won in the "Car of the Year in Turkey" competition of OGD, Peugeot General Manager Gülin Reyhanoğlu said, "Because our new 408 model, which has been followed with interest by both our customers and valuable press members since the day it was introduced, was chosen as the 'Design of the Year'. Therefore, we are very pleased both in Turkey and globally. We sincerely thank the OGD members for not only naming the Peugeot 408 worthy of the "Design of the Year" award, but also for evaluating it with great appreciation and admiration, receiving the second highest score in the "Car of the Year" competition. The Peugeot 2023, which we put up for sale in Turkey in March 408, met with nearly 3 customers in this short period of time and collected 27 thousand requests in a short time, enabling us to revise our future plans. We have increased our target for 408, which we set in the first stage for the new 2023 in the fastback design C-SUV, after the intense demand and interest.”

The Automotive Journalists Association Jury, consisting of 64 journalists, determined the fastback form of the Peugeot 408, which draws attention with its SUV codes, eye-catching design and innovative approach, as the best of the year. Having made its world launch in September 2022, the Peugeot 408 added a new one to its successes by winning another prestigious award in this field in Turkey, following the International Red Dot Design Award.

Peugeot 408 Collects Design Awards!

Standing out with its SUV codes, eye-catching design and innovative approach in the C segment, Peugeot's new model 408, with its fastback design, won the "Design of the Year" category in the Automotive Journalists Association's "Car of the Year" competition for the first time in the brand's history. In the "Design of the Year" category, the first of which was given in the history of the competition in 2021, the jury members only evaluate the designs of the cars and cast their votes. In addition to this new achievement added to the award series, the Peugeot 408 also won the 2023 Red Dot Award. The new 408, which achieved the eighth Red Dot Award in the history of the brand, convinced the jury with its slim and elegant silhouette. The new Peugeot 408 draws attention with its sharp lines, especially at the rear, at the end of the roof, on the trunk lid and on the fenders. Six body colors are available to choose from, including the new Obsession Blue and Titanium Grey. Combined with its characteristic cat stance, the new Peugeot 408 stands out with its SUV-coded dynamic silhouette, flawless design language, sharp and accentuated lines, and the most striking C segment fastback concept in its class. The body-coloured front grille, which is offered as standard in the GT equipment level, integrates with the front. The new Peugeot 408 also proudly carries the brand's new logo. The form of the rear bumper also gives the model a strong stance. The Peugeot 408 takes its place in the brand's product range with its characteristic light signature at the front and three-claw LED headlights at the rear.

Like the exterior, the interior also draws attention with an attractive design. The design of the seats further emphasizes the quality of the materials used. Depending on the version, Falgo Half Leather Fabric Upholstery, Mint Green Stitched Seats and Alcantara Half Leather Fabric Upholstery, Adamite Green Stitched Seats are offered, while Black Nappa Leather Upholstery and Blue Nappa Leather Upholstery are optionally available. In addition, the LED ambient lighting behind the center console provides soft lighting and adds to the elegant atmosphere of the interior. The new fastback model not only draws attention with its striking design, but also stands out with the latest driving assistance systems and the latest engine technology. Staying true to the slogan of “Freedom of Choice”, the Peugeot 408 was imported to Turkey with a 1.2 PureTech 130 HP engine and an 8-speed EAT8 automatic transmission at the first stage, while hybrid and fully electric versions are planned to be offered for sale in the future.
