European Motocross Championship Started in Afyonkarahisar

Türkiye, European Junior and BMU Motocross Championships started in Afyonkarahisar. Continuing to break new ground, our Municipality is holding 3 championships at the same time this year in the sports city of Afyonkarahisar.

Turkey, European Youth and Balkan Motorcycle Association (BMU) Motocross Championship started with training and qualifying laps.

The first day within the scope of 3 championships held in Afyonkarahisar Motor Sports Center, the world's best motocross track area; Training and qualifying laps have started in the MX, MX1, MX2, MX2 junior, MX125, MX senior, veteran, women, 65 cc and 85 cc categories. In the third race of the European Junior Motocross Championship, the second race of the BMU Motocross Championship and the first race of the Turkish Motocross Championship, the athletes struggled to get on the podium. In the championships, first stage races were held in the MX, MX1, MX2, MX2 junior, MX125, MX senior, veteran, women, 50cc, 65cc and 85 cc categories. Athletes from Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, North Macedonia, Moldova, Greece, Albania, Hungary, Croatia and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus participated in the organizations led by our President Mehmet Zeybek with the support of our Municipality. Athletes will go to their final races in two stages on Sunday, May 21.

Turkish Motorcycle Federation (TMF) President Bekir Yunus Uçar said that they are excited to hold the Turkey, European Junior and BMU Motocross Championships in Afyonkarahisar, one of the best tracks in the world. flies; “As the Turkish Motorcycle Federation, we are happy to open our motocross season in Afyonkarahisar, the center of motorsports. We will be bringing 3 big events together to sports fans. Turkish Motocross Championship, Balcony Championship and Eastern European Championship. The fight started with 185 athletes, a record participation. 36 foreign athletes from 34 countries are here. Afyonkarahisar Municipality and Governor's Office made great efforts for this organization.
