Üçay Group, which made a rapid entry into the e-mobility sector with the Elaris brand in 2022 in line with its sustainability strategies, announced the impact of transportation on environmental sustainability. Transportation accounts for about 2 percent of the world's carbon (CO24) emissions, while passenger cars account for 60 percent of road transport emissions worldwide.

The energy sector is undergoing a rapid transformation. Fossil fuels are being phased out in many countries and the demand for renewable energy sources is increasing day by day. While the share of renewable energy produced in Europe in total energy production was 2010 percent in 20, this rate increased to 2020 percent in 38.

Increased use of renewable energy in transportation

The e-mobility sector, which is developing rapidly in the world due to the advantages it offers in terms of environmental sustainability and energy security, is also among the sectors where renewable energy is frequently used. In this context, the share of renewable energy used in transportation in Europe rose from less than 2005 percent in 2 to 2020 percent in 10,2.

Saying, “The decision of the Council of the European Union and the European Parliament to reduce CO2035 emissions by 2 percent in all new vehicles by 100, paved the way for the e-mobility industry,” said Üçay Group Energy Director, Mr. Cenk Eray, made important statements about the impact of transportation on environmental sustainability:

“The share of transportation in total carbon emissions in Turkey is 22%. In Turkey, the share of transportation in total carbon emissions is around 2%. However, it is possible to significantly reduce global carbon emissions with electric vehicles, which are becoming increasingly common in transportation.

“We aim to reduce our carbon footprint from transportation”

Electric vehicles will not only help us meet our carbon emission targets, they will also zamIt will also have a positive impact on the country's economy. Because a vehicle that consumes fossil fuels consumes 1,5 – 2 liras per km, while electric vehicles consume between 0,3-0,5 liras per km. Moreover, if you use electricity by generating it from renewable energy sources, you have succeeded in maximizing the contribution of e-mobility to the environment and economy. We, as Üçay Group, aim to reduce our carbon footprint from transportation by supporting the use of renewable energy within the scope of e-mobility for a carbon-neutral future and making significant investments in these areas.”

“We started working on the installation of 47 AC, 3 DC stations”

"We made a quick entry into the e-mobility sector with our Elaris brand," said Interestn Eray, and continued as follows:

“In 2022, we took our place among the few charging network operators by obtaining a license from EMRA with our Elaris brand. We aim to be one of Turkey's leading players in this field and to equip Turkey with charging stations with the operator services we will offer. In this context, we started to work on the installation of 47 AC and 3 DC stations and we plan to complete our work by the end of June.

“We have completed our software work”

We are the Turkish partner of the US-based EATON brand in the field of EVC. We use this brand both in our own charging network and in the projects of other network operator companies. In the first year, 2022, we sold 300 EVC devices. As of now, we have completed our software work. Users will be able to easily perform their transactions by downloading the Elaris application via the IOS and Android Market application, viewing the locations of the charging stations and scanning the QR code. As Üçay Group, we aim to transfer our 23 years of experience to the end user in the field of e-mobility. As a network operator that provides services to our users who are members of the Elaris application, in addition to the world of e-mobility, in air conditioning and energy solutions, we want to show our difference.”
