There was a Togg surprise at Robotaksi, the competition of driverless cars organized as part of TEKNOFEST. Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank participated in the 3rd day races with a blue Togg, which took its color from the Gemlik district of Bursa. Minister Varank, who visited the garages of the competing teams one by one, said, “I came with Togg. Shall we fight for your key?" he made a joke. Competitive students toured with Togg in the Valley of Informatics.

31 TEAMS 460 COMPETITORS

Robotaksi Passenger Autonomous Vehicle Competition, organized within the body of the Aviation, Space and Technology Festival TEKNOFEST, continues in Turkey's technology and innovation base, Informatics Valley. In the final stage of Robotaksi, which was held for the 5th time this year, 31 youngsters from 460 teams compete fiercely. Aiming to encourage young people to develop autonomous driving algorithms, the competition will continue until April 13 under the leadership of Bilişim Vadisi and TÜBİTAK.

LEADING FROM ANKARA

Industry and Technology Minister Varank was the guest of the final of the competition, which started on April 10. Minister Varank, with the blue Togg he set off from Ankara, was the same as the competition was held. zamHe arrived in Informatics Valley, where Togg was born. Answering the questions of journalists, Minister Varank stated that he came with Togg and said, “We are determined to make Turkey a country that produces high value-added technology. One of the best examples of this is Turkey's automobile. Today, we will see the technologies developed by our young friends in the competition. We will have the opportunity to watch together what our high school and university friends have done in autonomous technologies. AUTONOMOUS DRIVING TECHNOLOGIES

Pointing out that mobility technologies are undergoing development and transformation, Varank explained that the automotive industry and the mobility ecosystem in transportation and transportation vehicles in the world are undergoing a great change and transformation, and that one of the most important pillars of this is autonomous driving technologies.

TEKNOFEST GENERATION

Mentioning that the high school and university students participating in these competitions will be the most successful engineers of Turkey in the future, Varank said that these engineers will work on Togg's autonomous software and algorithms, and maybe they will work for the autonomous production of hydrogen powered vehicles. Underlining that they invest in young people, whom they see as Turkey's greatest value, with these competitions, Varank said, "The TEKNOFEST generation will also build the 'Century of Turkey'." said.

Stating that when they use Togg in the city, on the highway, citizens honk, applaud and wave their hands, Varank said, “When you park the car somewhere, there are people who stop and come to the car and take pictures, there are people who examine it. This means that our nation has been waiting for years for Turkey to develop this capability. When we say our 60-year dream, we are actually putting our finger on the right point. It's a real honor to see our citizens so excited. Those who see this vehicle on the roads, streets and avenues are really happy. Rest assured, there are citizens who stop us and cry.” said.

THEY TOUR THE BİLİŞİM VALLEY

Competitive students toured with Togg in the Valley of Informatics. Volunteer students in the organization experienced the T10X smart device together with Minister Varank.

31 TEAM FIGHT

189 teams applied in the ready-to-competition vehicle category and 151 teams in the original vehicle category. In the final stage of the competition, a total of 8 agricultural teams, 23 in the ready-made vehicle category and 31 teams in the original vehicle category, were entitled to the competition.

WHAT ARE THE CRITERIA?

High school, associate, undergraduate, graduate and graduate students can participate in the competition individually or as a team. Teams; It exhibits autonomous driving performances on a track that reflects the urban traffic situation. In the competition, teams that fulfill the duties of picking up passengers, dropping passengers, reaching the parking area, parking and following the correct route in accordance with the rules are considered successful.

UNIQUE AND READY TOOLS

The competition consists of two categories. In the original vehicle category, teams participate in the competition by making all vehicle production and software from A to Z. In the ready vehicle category, teams run their software on autonomous vehicle platforms provided by Bilişim Vadisi.

TUNNEL OBSTACLE

This year, the IT Valley track has been modified. A tunnel 15 meters long was built on the runway. Competitors will complete the competition by passing this tunnel that will force the vehicles.

PREPARED WITH VIDEO

Bilişim Vadisi has prepared a training video introducing the vehicle for the teams competing in the ready vehicle category. The video was shared with the teams that passed the pre-selection via the Training Management System. In the video, systems such as sensors, cameras and data libraries in the ready vehicle are explained.

AWARD IN DESIGN

In the original vehicle category, the first prize will be awarded 130, the second 110, and the third will be awarded 90 thousand liras. The first 100 in the ready-made vehicle class, the second 80, the third 60 thousand will be the owner. For the first time this year, teams competing in the original vehicle category will be given a vehicle design award.
