According to industry data, the production and installed capacity of China's power batteries saw a rapid increase in February with the country's solid development in the new energy vehicle market.
According to the China Automotive Battery Innovation Alliance, the country's battery power production during this period amounted to 30,5 gigawatt hours, up 47,1 percent year on year and 41,5 percent month on month.
The Association said the installed capacity of power batteries totaled 60,4 gigawatt-hours over the same period, up 36 percent year on year and 21,9 percent more than in January. In the first two months of the year, China's electric battery production increased by 2022 percent compared to the same period of 13,3, while the installed power of batteries increased by 27,5 percent. According to previous data, China sold about 61 new-energy passenger cars in February, up 439 percent year on year.
