The compact steering wheel, covered with nappa leather as standard, displays an appearance in line with the high-tech character of the redesigned center console.
The product range also meets different personalization requests in the interior. In the new A-Class, the seats, emphasizing the sportiness of the vehicle with their three-dimensional embossed ARTICO upholstery, offer a high level of comfort. New, dark carbon fiber-look trims highlight the design touch on both the dashboard and door panels. Bright brushed aluminum trims designed with the AMG design concept and ARTICO/MICROCUT seats with red contrast stitching offer a stylish and sporty look.
With its Ambition 2039 strategy, Mercedes-Benz has set the goal of presenting the entire value chain and life cycles of its new passenger car and light commercial vehicle fleets as carbon neutral, starting from 2039. The aim is to at least halve carbon emissions over the entire life cycle for each passenger car in the new vehicle fleet by 2030 compared to 2020. One of the measures taken is the use of recycled materials. Accordingly, the composition of materials used in the design of the new A-Class was reviewed and possibilities for more sustainable alternatives were explored. There are fabrics made from 100% recycled material in the middle section of the comfortable seats. In ARTICO/MICROCUT seats, this ratio goes up to 65 percent on the seat surface and up to 85 percent in the material below.
Even richer hardware: The new A-Class comes with a wealth of equipment as standard, such as a reversing camera, a USB package or a nappa leather steering wheel.
Mercedes has once again significantly simplified the equipment package logic to simplify time-consuming customization options. Features that are often ordered together are now bundled into equipment packages by evaluating actual consumer behavior. In addition, different functional options are offered. customers; With options such as body color, upholstery, trim and rims, it can personalize its vehicles as before.
More digital, smarter, safer: The new A-Class has taken an important step forward, both in terms of hardware and software: The latest MBUX generation is intuitive to use and capable of learning. Driver and central displays create a holistic, aesthetic experience. It can be personalized with the help of new screen styles (Classic with all driving information, Sporty with dynamic rev counter, Lean with reduced content), three modes (Navigation, Support, Service) and seven color options. The central screen offers functions such as navigation, media, telephone, vehicle and can be used as a touch screen as before.
The revised telematics system impresses with its new design and increased performance. Connection with smartphones via wireless Apple Carplay is available as standard equipment. An additional USB-C port has been added for more connectivity and the USB charging capacity has been further increased.
The new A-Class has also been updated in terms of safety aids. For example, with the update of the Driving Assistance Package, lane keeping control is made easier using Active Lane Keeping Assist. In its new form, the Park Package supports longitudinal parking and, among other functions, offers 3-degree visualization for camera-assisted parking with 360-D images.
Electric and powerful driving: The engine options of the new A-Class have also been updated. All petrol engines are electric-assisted four-cylinder options. A seven-speed DCT automatic transmission is offered as standard. The semi-hybrid system is equipped with an additional 14-volt electrical system that supports agility with 10HP/48 kW additional power at take-off.
The new belt-driven starter generator (RSG) significantly improves comfort and experience. For example, RSG generates less vibration and less noise at start-up compared to conventional solutions. In addition, the "glide" function allows the internal combustion engine to be deactivated during constant speed driving. In addition, the RSG provides energy recovery during braking and steady-speed gliding and feeds the 12-volt internal system and the 48-volt battery. The energy produced in this way can be used to support and accelerate the internal combustion engine. With a differentiated evaluation of the various driving stages, the ECO Score 3.0, available in some engine options, guides the driver towards a more economical driving.
