Mercedes-Benz Türk, one of the companies that made the most patent applications in Turkey in 2022, became the automotive company that received the most patent registrations in Turkey in the same period. The company, which received a total of 87 patent registrations last year, also won the 'OSD Technology Achievement Award in 2022' with its success.

Mercedes-Benz Türk's Istanbul and Aksaray R&D Center has an important position in the Daimler Truck network with its development activities, web-based projects such as OMIplus ONdrive, Virtual Reality and Mixed Reality technologies.

According to the data of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, Mercedes-Benz Türk, which is the fourth company that made the most patent applications in all sectors in Turkey in 2022, became the automotive company that received the most patent registrations in Turkey in the same period.

The company, which shapes the future of the automotive industry with its R&D studies in addition to its production, exports and employment, has two R&D Centers, one within the Hoşdere Bus Factory and the other within the Aksaray Truck Factory.

The success of Mercedes-Benz Türk, the automotive company with the most patent registrations in 2022, was awarded by the OSD (Automotive Industry Association). The company received the 'OSD Technology Achievement Award for 48' at the 'OSD Achievement Awards' given at the 2022th Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of the association.

In 2022, Mercedes-Benz Türk applied for a total of 142 patents, including 38 with the Truck R&D Center and 180 with the Bus R&D Center, and registered 87 of them. Among the inventions for which the company received patent registration in 2022, the most prominent ones are; It can be listed as increasing passenger safety using sound waves, seat belt control with distance sensor, and connection design to reduce deformation energy.

Our R&D teams, which continue to increase their global responsibilities day by day, contributed greatly to Mercedes-Benz Türk's being the automotive company that received the most patent registrations in 2022 with their successful work. Mercedes-Benz Türk Trucks R&D Director Melikşah Yüksel said, “Our Aksaray R&D Center was opened in 2018 with the aim of accelerating our work in the truck product group. Since then, we continue to receive the positive reflections of this investment. Our R&D Center, which is the sole approval authority for road tests of Mercedes-Benz trucks all over the world, continues to be one of the road test approval authorities for electric trucks.
