Patch 6.3 is out, and tons of new things are available for our Warriors of Light. Paladins are getting a massive rework in this update known as "Gods Revel, Lands Tremble.

Patch 6.3 is introducing a lot of new things to Final Fantasy XIV. Players can now enjoy a ton of major content, including more MSQs, a new Alliance raid, and the latest deep dungeon. One of the most notable changes in the patch is the rework of the Paladin. This tank class has received significant overhauls in their kit that players with FFXIV account might need to get used to.

Patch 6.3 Paladin Rework

The Paladin is getting one of its largest reworks in a long time, seeing many of its abilities and effects overhauled. The decision to do these significant reworks was due to the class' inconsistent burst damages and overreliance on DoT (damage over time) effects. Aside from the offensive attack, many defensive cooldowns were also improved to make Paladins more viable as tanks when farming for FF14 Gil in raids.

These changes aim to make Paladins more efficient in their skill rotations and action usage. The rework will help them make more significant burst damage, enabling them to contribute more to faster clear times. However, some skills may retain their DTS effects.

Paladin Rework Patch Notes

Most of the adjustments were made to make Paladins more competitive with other classes in terms of damage. Most of the reworked abilities were offensive, which removed DoT effects for several attacks. Some defensive moves were tweaked, but these changes did not alter any core aspects of their usage.

Other 6.3 Updates

The major update, known as "Gods Revel, Lands Tremble," introduced a lot of new things to Final Fantasy XIV. Aside from the Paladin changes, players can experience new quests as additional MSQs are added to the game. The Euphrosyne Alliance raid is also available, with tons of fantastic rewards and FF14 Gil. New dungeons like Lapis Manalis and Eureka Orthos also went live after the update. There is much to explore in Eorzea right now, so Warriors of Light should see these changes themselves.
