Opel continues to expand its GSe model range. Grandland, one of the most preferred models in its class after the Astra GSe, has also unveiled the high-performance model. The new Grandland GSe combines a 147 kW/200 HP 1.6-liter turbocharged petrol engine with two electric motors, one on each axle. The electric motor on the front axle delivers up to 81,2 kW/110 HP, and on the rear axle up to 83 kW/113 HP. The engines produce a total system power of up to 221 kW/300 HP and a maximum torque of 520 Nm.

The plug-in hybrid powertrain transforms the Grandland GSe into the best accelerating electric all-wheel drive vehicle in its class. The GSe accelerates from 6,1-0 km/h in just 100 seconds and reaches a top speed of 235 km/h (135 km/h fully electric). With its 14,2 kWh lithium-ion battery, the Grandland GSe provides emissions-free driving of up to 63 kilometers locally, according to WLTP.

The bold and pure exterior design of the Grandland with the Opel Visor; 19-inch “Monza” alloy wheels complete the GSe design elements, such as a unique rear diffuser and a GSe logo on the tailgate. The Grandland GSe can also be ordered with an optional black hood.

“Outstanding driving pleasure”

Like the Astra GSe example, the Opel Grandland GSe benefits from an advanced chassis with suspension and steering calibration for a dynamic and fun ride. With McPherson at the front and multi-link axle at the rear, Opel's sportiest SUV model blends superior handling and comfort. Again, as in the Astra GSe example, harder springs and shock absorbers come into play with the KONI FSD (Frequency Selective Damping) technology, which provides different damping properties. As a result, the Grandland GSe responds quickly to driver commands. It draws attention with its braking, cornering and superior highway stability like every Opel.

“GSe performance seats and a wealth of auxiliary systems”

The AGR certified Alcantara performance front seats are another testament to Opel's excellence in seat engineering. The Grandland GSe driver and front passenger enjoy dynamic driving while enjoying the added comfort, support and rich range of adjustments offered by the exceptionally ergonomic seats. In addition, every Grandland GSe has seat and steering wheel heating as standard.

In addition, numerous modern driving assistance systems make driving even safer. Advanced forward collision warning and radar-based advanced active emergency braking system, pedestrian detection, advanced driver fatigue detection system, advanced traffic sign detection system, blind spot warning system and adaptive cruise control are some of the many standard features offered. Front-rear parking sensors, advanced parking pilot and a standard 180-degree backup camera make parking and exiting a parking space easy.

The Multimedia Navi Pro infotainment system, compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with a 12-inch digital instrument panel and a 10-inch multimedia screen, offers advanced connectivity solutions. Thus, the Grandland GSe user can enjoy the dynamic driving experience to the fullest with the new high-performance SUV.
