Karsan delivered 18 of the 11 e-ATAK orders it received from Catania on the island of Sicily within the scope of the Consip framework agreement signed with Italy.

Karsan continues its deliveries in Italy, one of its target markets, at full speed. In this context, Karsan delivered 18 of the 11 e-ATAK orders it received from Catania, located on the island of Sicily, under the Consip framework agreement signed with Italy. 2023 e-ATAKs delivered by Karsan at the beginning of 11 entered service in the region. The remaining 7 e-ATAKs will be delivered by the middle of this year.

Catania's first electric buses from Karsan

Noting that the 11 e-vehicles in question are the first e-ATAKs delivered by Karsan to Italy, Karsan CEO Okan Baş said, “These buses are also Catania's first electric buses.” Saying that Karsan is strengthening its presence in Italy day by day, Karsan CEO Okan Baş emphasized that electric Karsan buses will serve all over Italy in 2023, from the southernmost to the northernmost. Drawing attention to Karsan's leading role in the transformation of electric public transportation in Europe, Okan Baş said, “As Karsan, we are one of the most important players in the transformation of public transportation in Italy.” he said.

Target leadership in electric midibus

Stressing that Italy is one of the most important target markets for Karsan, Baş said, “In this context, we are taking steps to further strengthen our presence as of 2023 with our Italy-based Karsan Europe SR company. With Karsan e-ATAK, we are the leader of the electric midibus segment in Europe. We anticipate that our e-ATAK model will be the leader of the electric midibus segment in Italy in 2023 with the new orders we will deliver. On the other hand, we are the first and only European brand that can meet the needs of public transportation in every dimension with our electric product range extending from 6 meters to 18 meters.
