Opel's new sub-brand GSe, which means "Grand Sport electric", created for performance electric models, is getting ready to hit the road with the Opel Astra GSe and Astra Sports Tourer GSe models in the compact class. Opel collects the performance models in its comprehensive electric model range, from Corsa-e to Movano-e, under “Grand Sport electric” (Gse) as a separate sub-brand. As part of this strategy, models in the compact class are called Opel Astra GSe and Astra Sports Tourer GSe. With the announcement of the GSe sub-brand, the German brand with the lightning bolt logo has clear plans to offer an electric version of every model in its portfolio by 2024 and to become an all-electric brand in Europe by 2028. In this context, Opel offers the optimum balance between environmental responsibility, driving comfort and performance with its advanced technology rechargeable hybrid powertrain in Astra Sports Tourer and Astra hatchback models, which are positioned at the center of the GSe series.
