Mobil Oil Türk General Manager Münci Bilgiç made a statement on the subject and said, “In Central Asia, their country was previously managed under Mobil's unit in Russia. From 2022 onwards, the management of these Central Asian regions and countries has been completely under the responsibility of Turkey. As Mobil Turkey, the oil sales and supply management of 7 countries, including Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan, as well as Georgia, has been connected to us. We have successful distributors in some of the Central Asian countries. In the next few years, we have already rolled up our sleeves to further develop our presence and sales by establishing a distributor network in other countries that do not have a distributor network.”

Stating that their portfolio has expanded with the new countries that have been connected to the management of Mobil Turkey, and accordingly, their export potential will increase significantly, Bilgiç said, “In this context, we, as Mobil, have decided to make new investments in our factory in Turkey. We want to better respond to the increasing export demand by expanding the capacity of our factory. In general, we will increase our capacity significantly. With the capacity increase to be made, there will also be a new employment increase. In other words, I am happy to say that we will create new employment opportunities in addition to the news that pleases and motivates us, such as investment and capacity increase. Our target is to increase our daily shipment volume by making some improvements to use the blending and filling machines more effectively, by increasing our raw material and finished product storage capacity, with new machinery investments. All these developments have been a very good indicator of the growth that Mobile Turkey will experience in 2022 and in the coming years.”

“Mobil Oil Türk continued to grow in the sector”

Saying that the Turkish lubricants industry continued to grow in 2021 after its strong growth in 2022, Münci Bilgiç continued:

“The sector showed a significant growth in the first half of the year compared to the same period of the previous year. As Mobil Oil Türk AŞ, we have grown in parallel with this. Within the framework of our evaluations, we have intensified our work on our 2023 targets and we are making some revisions within the framework of new developments. We are targeting a growth in 2022 on top of our expected sales volume increase in our domestic market at the end of 2023. On the other hand, we think that our export volume will increase with the participation of Central Asian countries in our region. In the first stage, we expect an additional increase in exports in our total production. Our overall goal in 2023 will be continued growth.”

Stating that the contribution of Mobil 1 Centers to growth is also great, Bilgiç said, “At present, 450 thousand tons of mineral oil and auxiliary products are consumed in Turkey. More than 200 thousand tons of this is automotive oils (passenger, light commercial, heavy commercial total), the rest is industrial oils, process oils, preparations and auxiliary products. We, as Mobil, are one of the most well-established brands operating in this field in Turkey and still one of the top 3 most preferred brands, which has a quality product perception in the eyes of industrialists, craftsmen and end users. In addition, we will continue to grow by maintaining our Mobil 1 Center service network this year. There are up to 41 Mobil 76 Center services in 1 provinces of Turkey. We also have 23 Mobil Delvac Express Centers. In addition to this, we continue to provide service with our two service points in the TRNC.

Emphasizing that the mineral oil production facilities have a flexible structure to produce a wide variety of products, Münci Bilgiç continued as follows:

“Also, considering the diversity of products produced in Mobil factories in other countries and the fact that these products are imported to Turkey according to customer demand, we have the ability to appeal to a wide range of customers. In this context, we added Renault this year to the giant companies such as CAT, Volvo and Toyota that we produce together. These productions will also be in our factory. In addition, I would like to remind you that Mobil produced the first filling oils for many brands such as Porsche, Bentley, Chevrolet, Peugeot, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz AMG series and Nissan.”
