Turkey Touring and Automobile Association has started a special social responsibility project to prevent possible accidents in the use of scooters, which are used as an alternative means of transportation today. Within the scope of the project, 20 thousand reflective vests were distributed free of charge.
Today, the scooter, which is frequently preferred as an alternative means of transportation, is gradually becoming a part of our lives. Although the scooter offers convenience in transportation in daily life, the widespread use of it has brought about sad traffic accidents. In order to prevent these accidents, the Highway Traffic Regulation was updated; It has been made compulsory for those who use motorcycles, bicycles, mopeds and electric scooters to use reflective equipment at night. In this context, Turkey Turing and Automobile Corporation has implemented a special social responsibility project.
20 thousand reflective vests were distributed free of charge
Turing, who has been working for the public interest in the automobile industry and road safety since 1923, distributed 20.000 reflective vests free of charge with the project he initiated to support the widespread use of vests, especially among young people. Collaborating with public and private universities, TURING distributed vests to students in Marmara University, Istanbul Technical University and Cerrahpaşa University Avcılar Campus in a social responsibility project, which is a first. In the coming days, TURING will cooperate with Istanbul University and Galatasaray University to distribute reflective vests to young people for safer travel.
