Toyota is expanding its Yaris Cross SUV model range. The new GR SPORT version, inspired by Toyota GAZOO Racing, which has won many World Championships in different racing series, carries the appeal of the Yaris Cross further with its design. Pre-sales of the new Yaris Cross GR SPORT will begin in the third quarter of 2022 in certain European countries.
Alongside distinctive exterior and interior details, the Yaris Cross GR SPORT features suspensions that have been retuned for a rewarding ride that delivers sharper performance. The Yaris Cross joins the previously introduced Corolla, C-HR and GR Sport versions of the Yaris as the fourth model.
The new Yaris Cross GR SPORT draws attention with its 18-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels, new rear diffuser, black details on the grille and GR logos. The new Dynamic Gray paint, on the other hand, is a signature of GR SPORT, while the vehicle can also be preferred with a black roof and pillars with a bi-tone option.
In the cabin of the Yaris Cross GR SPORT, there are sports seats at the front with new gray upholstery and red stitching, a steering wheel and gear lever with model-specific details. Premium GR SPORT black perforated suede seats are also available as an option. GR logos appear on the headrests of the front seats, the start button and the steering wheel.
The Yaris Cross GR SPORT is powered by Toyota's highly efficient three-cylinder 1.5-liter hybrid engine. With the engine that draws attention with its 40% thermal efficiency, Yaris Cross GR SPORT is aimed to achieve similar low CO2 emissions and fuel consumption with other versions.
First shown in 2021, the Yaris Cross is a short zamIt also showed great sales success. The new model achieved a 2022 percent share in the B SUV segment in Europe in the first 6 months of 7.7, while it took a 48 percent share in the entire Yaris product family.
