One of the Koç Group companies, Otokar continues to promote its products and capabilities in the defense industry at different organizations abroad. Otokar will exhibit the world-renowned COBRA II Tactical Wheeled Armored Vehicle at the ADEX 6 defense industry fair, which will be held in Baku, the capital city of Azerbaijan, on September 8-2022.
Emphasizing that Otokar has a long-standing cooperation with Azerbaijan, Otokar General Manager Serdar Görgüç said, “One of the most important reflections of the friendship and cooperation relations between brother country Azerbaijan and Turkey is undoubtedly the cooperation projects realized in the field of defense industry. With the effect of the ongoing strong bond between the two countries, cooperation is increasing day by day. Since the 1990s, military vehicles produced by Otokar have been successfully serving in Azerbaijan. We have been working for the defense needs of Azerbaijan since 2010, when we exported our first armored vehicles; Today, our vehicles of different types and configurations take part in the inventory of different users.”
Emphasizing that Azerbaijan, which continues its investments in the military field, draws attention in the world with its modern and effective army and security forces, Görgüç reminded the Otokar Cobra II vehicles exported to Azerbaijan and said:
“It is a great source of pride for us that the successful performance of Otokar armored vehicles in the Armed Forces inventory is also appreciated by users in Azerbaijan. Last year, Azerbaijan took Cobra ll vehicles into its inventory for the first time. We continue to meet the developing and changing needs of Azerbaijan with our new generation armored vehicle Cobra ll, which is accepted as the best in its class in the world and responds to the different needs of users with its modular structure. I believe that the friendship and ongoing cooperation between Turkey and Azerbaijan will continue for many years, and I am happy to state once again that we, as Otokar, are ready for any task.”
