2022 Petlas Off-Road Turkey Championship, hosted by the Metropolitan Municipality, has ended. Speaking at the ceremony, President Yüce said, “When our Sports Island Automobile and Motor Sports facility is completed, it is a candidate to become one of the most modern facilities of our country in motor and automobile sports. I would like to thank all my fellow countrymen who shared the excitement.”
Hosted by Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality, 2022 Petlas Turkey Off-Road Championship 5th Leg Races ended with the audience stage held at the excitement Spor Ada facilities. 30 vehicles, 60 pilots stepped on the gas for the championship. Hundreds of sports fans from Sakarya also shared this excitement in the race area during the weekend break. Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem Yüce, who closely followed the races that started at 11.00, met with the athletes and shared his congratulations.

At the end of the races, the winners received their trophies from the President Yüce and the protocol members. Deputy Secretary General Bedrullah Erçin, Metropolitan Belediyespor Club President Cevat Ekşi, Head of Youth and Sports Services Department İlhan Şerif Aykaç and many spectators attended the ceremony. In the Off-Road Turkey Championship 5th Leg Races, Kemal Özsoy-Yiğitcan Yüksel won the first place, Kenan Özsoy-Harun Dğnek was the second, and Mustafa Saray-Samet Zurnacı was the third in the General Classification. At the end of the ceremony, 54 Automobile Sports Club members and off-road volunteers thanked Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem Yüce for their support.

Speaking at the 2022 Petlas Turkey Off-Road Championship 5th Leg Races award ceremony, Mayor Ekrem Yüce said, “As the Metropolitan Municipality, we are proud to offer all kinds of support and opportunities to our fellow citizens for the development and spread of sports in Sakarya. We marked many championships with our 30 athletes in nearly 5000 branches. Our athletes achieve great success in many branches such as Taekwondo, Athletics, Karate, Handball, Shooting, Rowing, Judo and Wrestling. Noting that Sakarya hosts many national and international organizations, President Ekrem Yüce said, “We held a very important championship in our city in August. MTB Eliminator World Cup was held as part of Bike FEST in Sunflower Bicycle Valley, the most modern and equipped facility in Europe. Thousands of people followed this excitement from Sunflower Cycling Valley and live broadcast in 110 countries.

President Yüce said, “Our Sports Island Automobile and Motor Sports facility is located on a land of 260 decares, with 850 meters of drag track, 12 thousand square meters of karting, supermoto and drift track, 2000 meters of Off-road and motocross track, service areas, tribunes and social facilities. It is a candidate to become one of the most modern facilities of our country in motor and automobile sports, when it is completed with.

Continuing his words by congratulating all the athletes who competed in the races, President Yüce said, “This sport is really fun, but it is also a sport with high adrenaline. For this reason, all our athletes who dare to compete in Off-Road deserve a special congratulations. After a 2-day marathon, we have completed the 5th Leg of Petlas Off-Road Turkey Championship. I congratulate all our athletes who ranked and wish them continued success.”
