Galleries Will Not Sell New Vehicles! 6 Months or 6000 Km Limit Reached

The Ministry of Commerce took action to prevent exorbitant increases in vehicle prices. While officially announcing the new application, Minister of Trade Mehmet Muş drew attention to the detail of 6 thousand kilometers for 6 months. "After the first registration, companies, galleries, rentacars will not be able to sell the new vehicles they bought for 6 months and 6 thousand kilometers," said Muş.

In order to prevent price increases in the automotive sector, the new regulation was announced by the Minister of Commerce, Mehmet Muş. In his speech at the Turkey Export Mobilization Summit in Kayseri, Minister Muş gave information on the details of the new regulation. Muş announced that companies, galleries and rentacars will impose restrictions on the immediate sale of brand new vehicles.

Muş said, “You see, there are brand new second-hand vehicle advertisements. Therefore, a new vehicle is bought and sold with a larger figure. There is a situation that triggers each other in automobile prices. We prepared the regulation. After the first registration, we impose a restriction on the sale of new vehicles purchased for companies, galleries, rentacars, and not exceeding 6 months and 6 thousand kilometers. Get those who really need it. So it will be really second hand. If there are issues such as determining common prices or manipulating the market in companies, it is the task of the Competition Board and it opens an investigation and examines it. If there is a mistake, it does what is necessary, otherwise it closes. We think that after the regulation is published, citizens will have more access to the first hand. We will not be faced with an advertisement as second-hand zero,” he said.
