Electric vehicle charging station network ZES (Zorlu Energy Solutions), which is the sector leader in our country, has taken its place among the few companies that have been granted a charging network operator license by EMRA.

The application of ZES, the electric vehicle charging station network, which is one of the priority investments of Zorlu Energy to reduce carbon emissions in cities in line with its sustainability goals, to obtain a charging network operator license has been approved by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA). Within the scope of the Charging Service Regulation; Zorlu Energy company ZES Digital Ticaret A.Ş., which is among the few companies that have been granted a charging network operator license in Turkey. In addition to establishing its own electric vehicle charging stations, it will be able to operate in the charging network operation throughout the country for 49 years.

ZES continues to increase the number of electric charging stations day by day, while providing service at nearly 1.100 stations in more than 1.900 locations for uninterrupted transportation with zero emissions. Zorlu Energy Trade General Manager İnanç Salman made an assessment on the subject and said: “First of all, we find this step important for the healthy growth of the market. According to the statement made by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, we see that the total number of charging units in Turkey has reached 3 thousand with the investments made by the private sector last year. With this licensing, it is predicted that a serious acceleration will begin in the electric vehicle market in the coming period. With our charging network operator license obtained from EMRA, we have the opportunity to establish our own charging stations as well as to activate the sub-operation process by issuing certificates. We are planning to provide services to our customers by giving the license to use our own platform, which complies with the KVKK, which meets all the conditions, to companies that want to obtain a license from EMRA.

We have carried our activities and projects on this subject, including the sale, installation and operation of electric vehicle charging stations in Turkey, to the European Union and neighboring countries. To date, we have completed the establishment of our companies in Croatia, Netherlands, England, Israel, Italy, Montenegro, Poland and Greece. Our medium and long-term projection is to be an electric vehicle charging station operator spread across Europe and with a certain market size.”

Zorlu Energy certifies with the 'International Renewable Energy Certificate' (I-REC) that it bases the electricity it supplies on electric vehicles, one of the most important pillars of the sustainable future, on renewable energy sources. As a pioneer in its sector, ZES continues to work in the region's geography for the development of the electric vehicle ecosystem.
