Turkey's leading logistics company Sertrans Logistics continues its fleet investments in line with its developing business volume. Sertrans, in cooperation with Renault Trucks, strengthens its single-brand own goods fleet with 80 Renault Trucks new T EVO 480 4×2 X-Low tractors.

Sertrans, which has been regularly purchasing Renault Trucks tractor trucks for 30 years, has been investing in its fleet with Renault Trucks vehicles for the last 6 years. Taking advantage of the total solutions offered by Renault Trucks, Sertrans's new vehicle delivery ceremony was attended by Sertrans Logistics Chairman Nilgün Keleş, Strategy and Financial Affairs Board Member Batuhan Keleş, Sertrans Logistics UKT Coordinator Hüseyin Ali Kabataş and TRANSER Fleet Operations Director Gökhan YETİŞ. Renault Trucks Turkey President Sebastien Delepine, Sales Director Ömer Bursalıoğlu and Koçaslanlar Automotive General Manager Mesut Süzer attended the ceremony.

Sertrans, one of the playmakers of the sector, does not stop its investments.

Nilgün Keleş, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sertrans Logistics, who explained the goals of Sertrans at the meeting; “We aim to be the largest e-logistics company in our country in 2023, the largest logistics organization in our country in 2025, and the largest logistics company in our country in 2030. At this point, we can say that our first goal has been achieved. Our overseas growth plan is also clear. With the new investments we will make in 2022, we will continue to grow in both storage and transportation operations. In the coming period, we will increase our total storage capacity to 240-250 thousand square meters in our country. A large part of this capacity will be allocated to e-commerce logistics operations. In addition, we will continue to grow abroad with the new country offices and warehouses we will open, especially in Germany. The process here started with the opening of our warehouse in Germany last year, and it will continue to grow. New countries will follow this country in the coming period. Preparations for this continue at present.”

Our fleet has grown by 30% in the last two years.

Nilgün Keleş also mentioned the importance of the 30-year cooperation with Renault Trucks, especially in the development of market share in international transportation; “It is important to continue on the road with our fleet, a part of your team and a business partner you trust. While investing in the fleet, we continue to invest in e-commerce logistics, the rising value of trade. Technology is another investment area of ours, and we make technology investments in line with the new needs of logistics. In our growth strategy, which we maintain so meticulously, we take care to ensure that our fleet is equipped with the latest technology and industry-leading equipment. That's why we are excited to add the new Renault Trucks' new EVO series tractors to our fleet.”

Our continued growth momentum despite the pandemic will continue in 2022.

Despite the pandemic conditions, Sertrans has become one of the few players in the industry that has not lost its appetite for investment. Nilgün Keleş pointed out that the growth momentum increased in 2021; “We have a significant market share especially in Spain, Portugal, France and Germany, which are among the most important export and import markets of our country. Today, while 100 percent of every 50 vehicles going to Portugal are our vehicles, we have a market share of nearly 30 percent in Spain. We are the number one service supplier of many global brands in France and Germany. On the other hand, we currently provide services to our customers in nearly 200 countries and at nearly 800 points. 2020 and 2021 were tough years for transportation operations, but while many companies in the sector were experiencing serious difficulties during the pandemic, as Sertrans, we continued to invest and grow,” he added.

“On the other hand, our storage capacity reached 100 thousand square meters with a growth of nearly 140 percent. In the next two years, we will continue to invest in this area and increase our total storage capacity to over 100 thousand square meters with a growth of nearly 250 percent. The resource we allocated only to our Akpınar warehouse was around 4,5 million Euros and the employment effect is close to 500 people. Currently, we are also working on establishing a logistics base in Europe. This project will be an extremely important project not only for us, but also for our country.”

Renault Trucks Turkey President Sebastien Delepine also made statements at the meeting; “First of all, we would like to express our happiness about the success of our new Renault Trucks EVO series in the Turkish market while we are completing the first 6 months of our launch, and that Sertrans Logistics preferred these vehicles. Like all sectors, the logistics field is experiencing dynamic developments and as Renault Trucks, we have the necessary tools and knowledge to meet the needs of logistics fleets beyond expectations. With our EVO series, we take our vehicles' claim to fuel economy one step further. In this respect, we believe that our vehicles will also serve the sensitivity of Sertrans Logistics in terms of sustainability and environmental protection, which are the company philosophy. Our EVO series are ambitious vehicles that deliver efficiency, design and comfort innovations and low total cost of ownership in product and transportation solutions such as connected services, optifleet and service contracts. EVO attracts great attention from customers and drivers not only with its new product features, but also with new transportation solutions that offer 360 service understanding. We have no doubt that Sertrans will increase its fleet efficiency with our new vehicles.”

Sebastien Delepine stated that since the beginning of 2022, there has been a contraction in the segments of 6 tons, 16 tons and above, where Renault Trucks also offers its vehicles; “As Renault Trucks, we can say that we have achieved growth in the market, where decreases of up to 3 percent are observed depending on the segments. In the first four months of 2022, a decrease of 16% was observed in the 8,9-ton market, while Renault Trucks increased its tractor market share from 7% to 10%. Although there are still difficulties in vehicle supply after the pandemic, we can attribute this increase in our market share to the appreciation of our relatively new EVO series. End zamWe had a lot of business partners who planned their investments in this direction because they preferred the EVO series at times.”

Pointing out that Sertrans Logistics will benefit from the related services that it started to offer in 2022 with the new Renault Trucks EVO tow trucks, Renault Trucks Sales Director Ömer Bursalıoğlu said; “Sertrans will be able to access its vehicles by remote connection. As it can perform operations such as software updates, parameter changes, reading error codes remotely, the service times of the vehicles will increase and they will be able to continue on the road safely.

Bursalioglu; “Sertrans will also benefit from Renault Trucks' Optifleet Fleet Management System with its new vehicles. With three separate modules, it will be able to monitor its vehicles remotely, access instant location information and history, download tachograph data remotely, and improve fuel consumption by making comparisons between drivers. By following all these data instantly, the lowest possible fuel consumption and the highest efficiency will be achieved. Thus, maximum control can be achieved in fleet management,” he added.

Continue with Renault Trucks Financial Services

Sertrans Logistics benefits from the solutions offered by Renault Trucks Financial Services (RTFS) for new vehicle purchases with Renault Trucks. RTFS has provided a business model-appropriate financing solution for Sertrans in its 2018 Renault Trucks tractor investment since 200.

Sertrans fleet is under warranty with service contract

Koçaslanlar Automotive General Manager Mesut Süzer stated that Sertrans prefers Renault Trucks' service contracts for new vehicle investments. Süzer said, “Within the scope of the contract, all maintenance and repair operations of the vehicles will be carried out at Renault Trucks Authorized Services. Sertrans also carries out service contracts for all vehicle purchases. Thus, it is ensured that the vehicles continue on the road without any problems, and it saves on operating costs.”
